The drought tolerance of Brassica juncea genotypes viz., Kranti RSPR-03, RSPR-01, Pusa Bold and NRCDR-2 was investigated after exposure to at various growth stages in a pot experiment. Water stress imposed at branch initiation, flower initiation and siliquae formation stages in the form of 45, 60 and 90 (DAS) days after sowing. Various physiological and reproductive behavior were recorded which revealed significant differences among the various Brassica juncea genotypes.

To identify the best source of nitrogen among organic and inorganic sources and their combinations for better growth, flowering behaviour and fruit yield of chilli cv. Bulet, an experiment was conducted in Gangetic Alluvial plain of West Bengal. Six organic manures in different combinations were applied along with Urea at three levels (25%, 50%, and 75). Result showed that plant height and number of branches per plant was found maximum with a combination of vermicompost and urea at 50%. Flowering was delayed with increase in inorganic nitrogen level (25, 50 and 75%) in the growing media.

Pineapple [Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.] is one of the most important commercial fruit crops of the family Bromeliaceae in the world. In pineapple, irregular flowering behaviour is observed and sometimes even after 18 months of planting less than 50% of flowering occurs and unnecessary delay may be observed. Paclobutrazol (PBZ), a triazole plant growth regulator which inhibits gibberellin biosynthesis has been effectively used to induce and manipulate flowering, fruiting in several perennial fruit crops. To evaluate effect of paclobutrazol on flowering characteristics of Pineapple cv.

Floriculture has been emerging as a future thrust industry in India and referred as tomorrow‟s green cultivation. Importance of cut flowers in international flower market makes the growers to take up its cultivation in India. Globally, Anthurium ranks 11th position among the cut flowers and 2nd position among tropical cut flowers. In Karnataka, anthuriums are grown extensively in tropical humid regions viz., Kodagu and Chikkamagaluru districts (Mudigere) for Export purpose.

Field experiments were conducted to record the diversity of floral visitors/pollinators in Bitter gourd Kharif season, 2018, with three replications. The experimental plot was kept free from chemical sprays during the flowering period. Insects belonging to various orders like Hymenoptera, Lepidoptera, Diptera, Hemiptera and Coleoptera were found visiting the bitter gourd flowers. Major pollinators of bitter gourd have been identified by their foraging activity. Foraging behaviour of major pollinators were recorded during different hours of the day viz. 0600 to 1800h based on No.
