The gBLUP method was used due to its computational efficiency and it showed similar predictive performance to other approaches, especially for traits whose variation is of polygenic nature, such as body traits analysed in this study. The accuracy or predictive ability of the gBLUP model was estimated for three growth traits: body weight, folk length and condition index.

The paper will present an overview of the classification of music genres that have been performed in Vietnam and abroad. For two types of very popular folk songs of Vietnam such as Cheo and Quanho, the paper describes the dataset and Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) to perform the experiments on identifying some of these folk songs. The GMM used for experiment with 4 sets of parameters containing Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC), energy, the first and the second derivatives of MFCC and energy, tempo, intensity, and fundamental frequency.

This paper explores the values of the integration of Vietnamese1 folk beliefs with Buddhism that arrived to Vietnam around the third century BC. This integration is in particularly seen in the Buddhist temples in the Northern part of Vietnam, specifically in the worshipping of spirits and performing of rituals, festivals, and in making of offerings and in the Buddhist teaching.
