Domestic consumption of nutritional products and food supplements are on the rise. This is due to the fact that consumers have become more affluent and aware of their health. Edible bird’s nest (EBN) is used as a health supplement for medicinal benefits to improve health quality. However, issues such as contamination and counterfeit EBN have caused fluctuation of the product’s price over time and consumers are slowly shunning away from consuming EBN products.

The concerns of dwindling food supply and over dependence on imported foods in Nigeria, especially in the face of dwindling foreign exchange, has prompted attention of experts on how to improve production and marketing of home-grown local food crops. The study assessed the quality characteristics and price preferences of consumers of Cowpea in the Niger State, Nigeria. The study adopted the survey design using quantitative research strategy.

This study aims to explore the perception of consumers towards the benefits and challenges of organic food consumption. For that purpose, a semi-structured interview was conducted with three organic food consumers in Tanjung Malim, Perak and data were analysed by using thematic analysis. The findings confirmed “healthiness” and “green environment” as the benefits of organic consumption, while “high price” and “the lack of organic food availability” were described as the challenges in organic food consumption.

This study aims to identify potential marketing solutions for promoting the consumption of safe Ban pork in the urban market. A total of 35 in-depth interviews were conducted with green food stores and consumers in Hanoi city, who have been consuming Ban pork, to understand constraints of buyers, potential marketing channels, and quality certification options for marketing Ban pork in the urban market.
