The need for operating circuits at increasingly higher speeds has always challenged designers. From radar and television systems in the 1940s to gigahertz microprocessors today, the demand for pushing circuits to higher frequencies has required a solid understanding of their speed limitations. In this chapter, we study the effects that limit the speed of transistors and circuits, identifying topologies that better lend themselves to high-frequency operation.

In the course of current research the procedure of obtaining of the piecewise linear vibration systems time and frequency responses have been developed. The method is partly analytical and partly numerical and is based on combining of linear solutions of different sections in a cycle of motion. In a row with the method of obtaining of the exact steady state time and frequency response, also it is provided sensitivity analysis of the vibration isolator.

This thesis aimed to apply the SEM for dynamic analysis of cracked beam subjected moving harmonic force in the frequency domain. Namely, the frequency response of a cracked beam subjected to moving harmonic force is obtained explicitly and examined in dependence upon the load and crack parameters. This task is acknowledged herein spectral analysis of cracked beam subjected to moving load.

We study the ac-conductivity in linear response theory in the general framework of ergodic magnetic Schr¨dinger operators. For the Anderson model, o if the Fermi energy lies in the localization regime, we prove that the ac1 conductivity is bounded from above by Cν 2 (log ν )d+2 at small frequencies ν. This is to be compared to Mott’s formula, which predicts the leading term to 1 be Cν 2 (log ν )d+1 .
