This paper presents a method for establishing the exact receptance function of a tapered axially functionally graded (AFG) beam with nonlinear ratios of properties using the Adomian method. In current papers, the Adomian method was applied for linearly tapered beams where the geometric series was used conveniently.

An algorithm called the Vaz algorithm is explained in this study that uses the order frequency variable in inventory categorization, so that supply chain managers will be able to keep low inventory of such items and apply small batch and/or a fast response manufacturing strategy to reduce slow moving inventory within fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) businesses.

Ebook "Advances in biology and therapy of multiple myeloma - Volume 1: Basic science" despite the advances in conventional, novel agent and high dose chemotherapy multiple myeloma (MM) remains incurable. In order to overcome resistance to current therapies and improve patient outcome, novel biologically-based treatment approaches are being developed. Current translational research in MM focusing on the development of molecularly-based combination therapies has great promise to achieve high frequency and durable responses in the majority of patients.

This paper studies the damping characteristics of the soil foundation under a building concerning the Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI). By considering a multi-story building resting on a piled raft foundation as a typical SSI system, subjected to an earthquake (i.e., Chi Chi earthquake, Taiwan 1999), the timedependent responses of specified locations in the foundation are recorded and analyzed, both in-time domain and frequency domain.

In this paper, there is proposed a novel damage index extracted from frequency response of cracked Timoshenko beam under moving harmonic load using the so-called Modal Assurance Criterion (MAC) concept. First, frequency response of a cracked Timoshenko beam subjected to harmonic force moving on the beam with constant speed is obtained in an analytical expression.
