Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kurukshetra, Haryana has conducted Front Line Demonstrations (FLD) in different villages of Kurukshetra to find out the yield gap between improved package practices applied in FLD with traditional farmers practices (FP) on wheat crop (WH-1105) under irrigated condition. It was observed that, the yield of wheat in FLD were ranges from 54.6 to 56.8 q/ha whereas, in FP it were found 51.2 to 53.6 q/ha during 2017- 18 to 2018-19.

The present study was carried out at KVK Shajapur (MP) to know the yield gaps between improved package and practices (IP) under Cluster Font Line Demonstrations (CFLDs) and farmers practices (FP) of mustard. The percent increase in yield IP over FP was recorded in the range of 21 to 22. The cost benefit ratio was 3.7 and 3.8 under demonstration, while it was 3.1 to 3.4 under control plots.

The study was conducted in two district namely Balodabazar and Kanker of Chhattisgarh state, because FLD (Front Line Demonstration) of kadaknath poultry farming was conducted in both districts. Most of the stakeholders of kadaknath poultry farming were in the young age group category who are graduates and above with 1-2 years of experience in kadaknath poultry farming.

The present study was undertaken to evaluate the yield gap through CFLDs on blackgram by the active participation of farmers with the objective to harness maximum potential of crops by demonstrating the improved technologies. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hamirpur (H.P.) conducted 88 demonstrations on blackgram (Vigna mungo L., Fabaceae) in 16.7 ha area during kharif 2016 and 2017 in different villages of district Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. Prevailing farmers‟ practices were treated as control for comparison with recommended practices.

Azolla is a free floating, rapidly growing aquatic fern on water surface. It has enormous potential as a livestock feed due to its high content of protein, essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals. The scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, West Sikkim introduced azolla cultivation in the district by demonstration conducted at farmers’ field. The farmers were trend by on and off campus practical training cum demonstration on azolla production technology.

Rapeseed is one of the most important oilseeds crop in Assam, which plays a major role in enhancement the income of marginal and small farmers of Darrang district. One of the major constraints of low productivity of rapeseed farming is using of local varieties. However, delayed sowing & use of higher seed rate resulting into dense plant population, uneven plant population, uncontrolled weeds, ignorance about recommended doses of fertilizers and lack of plant protection measures were the predominant identified causes of low productivity of oilseeds in the district.

In order to ascertain the impact of soybean front line demonstrations in terms of change in knowledge and adoption of soybean production technology on demonstrator and non demonstrator farmers, the present study was carried out by selecting 73 demonstrator and 70 non-demonstrator farmers from 14 villages in the jurisdiction of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Karda of Risod Panchayat Samiti of Washim district in Maharashtra state.

Sesame is one of the major oilseed crops cultivated in rainfed areas of India, which plays a major role in supplementing the income of small and marginal farmers of Pathankot district of Punjab state. Total 68 front line demonstrations (FLDs) were conducted on farmer’s field in Pathankot district for three consecutive years (2017-18 to 2019-20) in two blocks. Millet has emerged as one of the most suitable alternative to minor millet and minor pulses in Bastar plateau zone of Bastar district at Chhattisgarh. However, the productivity of small millet in the Bastar plateau zone is very low. One of the major constraints of traditional millet farming is low productivity due to lack of recommended package of practices and high yielding varieties. To replace this inconsistency of practices, SG College of Agriculture and Research under AICRPSM, Jagdalpur conducted experiments in the farmer’s field.

The seed spices constitute an important group of agricultural commodities, playing an important role in our national economy. During 2012-13 share of seed spices in India‟s spice area and production is 7.02% and 11.82% respectively. This study was conducted during the year 2016-17. A total of 28 farmers from different categories were selected purposively from Pana (Bayana) villages of Bharatpur district of Rajasthan for conducting Front Line Demonstrations (FLDs) on their field on fennel crop.

Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L) is a predominantly rabi seed spices crop of Rajasthan. In Rajasthan it is grown in 157 thousand ha area with production of 190.36 thousand tones with productivity of 1212 Kg. /ha. One of the major constraints of its low productivity is non adoption of improved technologies. To demonstrate this 65 Front line demonstrations (FLDs) were organized by KVK, Banswara between 2013-14 and 2016-17 under tribal sub plan of ICAR- NRCSS, Tabiji Ajmer.
