In recent years, the understanding of processes on material surfaces has drawn considerable interest from scientists. The adsorption stage is important for further insights into surface interactions and photocatalytic reactions. In this study, we use density functional theory computations to investigate the adsorption of sulfamethoxazole (SMX) molecules on the rutile-TiO2 (001) surface (r-TiO2 ).

Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out in 410 menopausal women in Truong An ward, Hue City. This research project investigates the influence of decoration and decorating on a fashion design practice, exploring the transformative effects of both in relation to surface and structure. Decoration is considered an after-effect, an element that can be differentiated from the object it adheres to, sometimes making it superfluous to the object’s function. In this project I consider decoration as having its own function – the ability, through its link to the ‘exterior’ world, to transform the shape, appearance and materials of forms by modifying their facade.

The objective of this project was to develop \(Ti{O_2}\) based multifunctional substrates through silver decoration, while simultaneously enhancing the photocatalytic performance of \(Ti{O_2}\) in the substrate. Employing Ag nanoparticles introduced additional functionality to the system, namely surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS), thus enabling the detection of trace amounts of organic molecules prior to their degradation, all with the same substrate.

The recent advances in the study of the unique capabilities of monolayer crystals had predicted piezoelectricity in two-dimensional (2D) group IV chalcogenides which are not present in their bulk forms. In this study, the predicted piezoelectric properties of was experimentally explored through Piezoelectric Force Microscopy (PFM). Tin Sulfide (SnS), Tin Selenide (SnSe), Germanium Sulfide (GeS), were exfoliated from their bulk forms by the top down methods of liquid sonication, while and Tin Disulfide (SnS2) mechanically exfoliated by tape.
