The catalytic activity of poly(N-vinylimidazole), a biocompatible and biodegradable synthetic functional polymer, was investigated for the synthesis of oximes as an efficient, halogen-free, and reusable heterogeneous catalyst. The present study is an attempt to estimate the acreage response functions for major crops in Haryana within the framework of co integration and error correction model and to compare the short-run and long-run supply elasticities of major crops. The long-run acreage response to lagged price was positive and significant in the case of rice, rapeseedmustard and sugarcane with elasticity values 0.19, 0.22 and 0.29, respectively. In case of other crops except bajra and gram, very low positive but non-significant price elasticities have been observed.

The hydrogen vibration was investigated to analyze its affect on the hydrogen adsorption on the missing row platinum surface (H/Pt(110)-(1x2) model) in the ultrahigh vacuum (UHV). The density functional theory (DFT) combined with the approximation oscillation of the hydrogen atom on the surface was used. When the hydrogen coverage Θ H on the surface is 100% (Θ H = 1 ML), and taking into account the vibrational effect, the bond formed at the edge of the first layer (short bridge) is the most stable site. The vibrational effect on the adsorption model H/Pt(110)- (1x2) is significant.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic disabling disease that generates many impairments of functional health status. Impairments of balance are recognized in patients with knee OA. This study investigated the short term effect of sensorimotor training on balance in elderly patients with knee OA, and whether these changes were associated with impairment of functional performance. In addition the possible independent predictors of impaired balance were determined. Forty female patients with knee OA were divided into two equal groups.

The ability of simulation on large-scale global circulation, as well as temperature and rainfall over Vietnam area with different sea surface temperature (SST) boundary conditions by the Conformal-Cubic Atmospheric Model (CCAM) is presented in this paper. CCAM is a global circulation model, which may be used in the variable resolution mode to function as a regional climate model. That is, the model may be integrated with high horizontal resolution over the area of interest, with the resolution gradually decreasing as one moved away from the area of interest.
