In the paper, the authors will synthesize the theoretical basis of the factors affecting the motivation to participate in scientific research, thereby conducting qualitative research on the factors affecting lecturers’ motivation to participate in scientific research at TUCST.

The demand for energy is increasing day by day worldwide due to population growth, industrialization and rising living standards. Geothermal energy, one of the alternative energy sources, is preferred in terms of providing environmentally friendly, quality and regular energy. Our country is rich in geothermal resource potential. However, there are still many unexplored geothermal resources. In this study, fuzzy-AHP method was used to determine the geothermal potential of Ağrı province.

The paper examines competitive approach under the principle of determining competitive advantage mentioned by Michael E. Porter in two books "Competitive strategy" and "competitive advantage". Accordingly, the paper will examine the development of the competitive strategies of commercial banks in parallel with the development history of the banking industry in Vietnam. Then, the study applied a fuzzy-AHP method as well as game theory in order to evaluate and select the most competitive Vietnamese commercial banks.

There is no denial of the fact that performance evaluation is a critical managerial attempt in any organization especially financial institutions such as banks. MCDM methods have been utilized as efficient and common tools in many fields such as finance and economy and attract significant attention from public and financial regulators. The numerous opinions and enormous criteria associated with bank performance evaluation confines the implication of any single objective model. Therefore, multi-criteria decision making approach has been applied for this purpose.

In this research, n-person cooperative games, arising from multi-objective linear production planning problem with fuzzy parameters, are considered. It is assumed that the fuzzy parameters are fuzzy numbers. The fuzzy multi-objective game problem is transformed to a single-objective game problem by group AHP method. The obtained problem is converted to a problem with interval parameters by considering the nearest interval approximation of the fuzzy numbers.
