In order to make a reliable QPE product, a quality check for rain gauge data comparing mutual rain gauge data experimented and 1) missing data ratio, 2) proportion to mean of nearly ten stations, and 3) double sum curve check was selected as thresholds to select relatively reliable rain gauge stations. As a result of the quality check for rain gauge data in May 2023, 1,299 stations were chosen, and QPE with rain gauges selected showed stable precipitation distribution.

The impact of climate change on sea level has attracted much attention from scientists worldwide. The analysis of sea-level change at global and regional scales is based on altimetry and/or tide gauge data. The main objective’s study relied on statistical tests to highlight the significant long-term changes in sea level in Ha Long coastal area through the 47 years (1974–2020) historical tide gauge record of the Bai Chay station.

The GSMaP Rainfall (Global Satellite Mapping of Precipitation) data (GSMaP_NOW and GSMaP_MVK) have been used for precipitation analysis at Vietnamese National Center for Hydro–Meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF) since October 2019. This study verified the quality of rainfall estimates of GSMaP_NOW, GSMaP _MVK and Himawari–8 based on 6 hourly rain gauge data from 184 SYNOP stations for a 4–month period from October 2019 to January 2020.

In this paper, we discuss the current situation of AWS and ARG network in VNMHA. Next, we will explain the maintenance and cyclic calibration of the instrument proposed in this project. Furthermore, we will explain the installation plan of the ARGs to calibrate two radar data in Phu Lien and Vinh for the development of QPE. Installation of ARGs has been achieved with cooperative works of VNMHA staffs and JICA experts. So, we introduce their activities for each step from site survey to pre–operational evaluation.

The present study attempts to determine groundwater recharge of the two over exploited blocks of Karur district in Amaravathy basin viz., Aravakurichi and K. Paramathi by water table fluctuation method. Rainfall data of eight rain gauge stations for 30 years (1982- 2012) and water level data of twenty three stations were collected from the office of State Ground and Surface Water Resources Data Centre, Tharamani, Chennai for analysis.

It was found that on average a total quantity of water flow in Nallamada command in a year was 43.84 TMC, in addition to the 6 TMC of water being used for all the Lift Irrigation Schemes above the gauging station for all the crops under Nallamada command in Krishna Western Delta. During socio- economic survey of beneficiary and nonbeneficiary farmers in the five randomly selected villages under Nagulapadu Lift Irrigation Scheme, effort were made to analyse the socio- economic and gender impact of Lift Irrigation Scheme on the lives of deprived farmers.

The agricultural drought has become a major concern worldwide because of its severe effect on the productivity of rain-fed crops and direct effect on service as well as per capita income. These agricultural droughts occur due to short-term moisture stresses. This work was carried out to analyze droughts in the Banswara region of Rajasthan using Effective Drought Index (EDI). Out of the 11 rain gauge station selected in the study, it was found that according to EDI, a meteorological drought of maximum severity -34.

Drought is an abnormal condition resulting due to a decrease in rainfall. The occurrence of drought is unpredictable and causes unprecedented damage to the production of crop and livelihood. The present study has been conducted to assess the meteorological drought situation in Ujjain district using Effective Drought Index (EDI). For assessment six rain gauge station situated in the study area is selected. Out of which station namely Barnagar, Ghatiya and Tarana have maximum extreme drought event with 8, 7, and 3 respectively.

The Narmada is the largest west-flowing peninsular river ranks seventh in terms of water discharge (38km3 /yr) in India. A number of dams have been constructed on the Narmada River and its tributaries, mainly for the purpose of electric power generation, irrigation and for controlling floods. The objective of this paper is to calculate minimum flow of Narmada River which is necessary to protect ecosystem and biodiversity at downstream site of dam which is constructed across Narmada River and its tributaries.

In this study, performance of semi-distributed hydrologic model, namely Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT), was evaluated for hydrologic cycle simulation in the Cong Watershed.. The model parameters were calibrated and validated using meteorological data observed at five gauges and runoff data observed at Tan Cuong Station between 1961 and 1975.

This report describes a verification simulation of a model of the Eastern Scheldt. Boundary conditions for a simulation of flows and water levels on 11 January 1982 are obtained from gauging stations in the offshore area of the estuary by use of weighting functions obtained from simulations with other models of conditions of September 1975 in the offshore area. The simulation was made first withou......
