There are significant limitations in existing methods for the genome-wide identification of genes whose expression patterns affect traits. Results: The transcriptomes of five tissues from 27 genetically diverse maize inbred lines were deeply sequenced to identify genes exhibiting high and low levels of expression variation across tissues or genotypes.

S100A2, a member of the S100 protein family, is abnormally expressed and plays a vital role in multiple cancers. However, little is known about the clinical significance of S100A2 in endometrial carcinoma. Methods: Clinicopathological data were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx), Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO), and Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC).

Highly significant effects of the environment (E), genotypes (G), and GxE interaction had been observed by AMMI analysis. GxE interaction accounted for 45.8% whereas Environment explained 27.4% of treatment variations in yield during first year. Ranking of genotype as per IPCA-1 were RD2969, K508. While IPCA-2, selected K508, HUB113 genotypes.

A field experiment was conducted to estimate the genetic variability, trait association and path coefficient analysis among the Indian mustard genotypes during rabi, 2019. Analysis of variance revealed the mean sum of squares due to genotypes was highly significant for all the characters studies indicating the existence of ample variability among the genotypes studied. The high GCV and PCV observed for number of siliquae per plant and secondary branches per plant indicated the influence of environment on the expression of these characters were at minimum level.

The present study entitled “Genetic Divergence in Black gram [Vigna mungo (L.) Hepper]” was conducted with 56 genotypes and two checks namely Pant U-31 and Pratap Urd-1during Kharif- 2019 at the Experimental farm, RCA, MPUAT, Udaipur. The genotypes were planted in augmented RBD design in four blocks. Mean squares due to genotypes were significant for plant height, number of branches per plant, number of pods per plant and pod length out of twelve characters as divulge from ANOVA.

Twenty one accessions of okra were assessed for variability for 12 characters. Highly significant differences were observed among the accessions. High phenotypic and genotypic coefficient of variation was observed for per cent incidence of YVMV, yield per plant, fruit weight, and number of fruits per plant indicating the existence of wider genetic variability for these traits in the germplasm.

Forty five cluster bean genotypes (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (L.) Taub) were evaluated to find out the correlation and path analysis for vegetable pod yield and yield attributes during kharif 2018 at College of Horticulture, Anantharajupeta, Andhra Pradesh. Character association of the yield attributing traits revealed that fresh pod yield per plant had highly significant and positive association with pod length, number of pods per plant, number of pods per cluster, number of pod clusters per plant and number of branches per plant at maturity.

Major improvement in sunflower breeding requires heterotic hybrids which can be achieved by tapping combining ability of F1 hybrids developed from crossing of two genetically diverse female lines with male testers. In the present study, 56 hybrids were evaluated derived from four lines and fourteen testers’ crosses in a line × tester mating design. The analysis of variance revealed existence of highly significant differences (p=0.05) among genotypes, parents and parents vs crosses indicating the presence of heterosis for quantitative traits in sunflower.

The genetic parameters of variability were studied for ten yield traits in 66 genotypes of tomato. Highly significant genotypic differences were reported for all the traits. The maximum coefficient of range was reported for average fruit weight followed by fruit yield (Kg)/plant, number of seeds/fruit and total number of fruits/plant.

A standard multi-factor analysis of variance showed the main effect due to years, locations and first order interactions (year x location) were highly significant. The main effect for genotype, first order interaction (varieties x locations), (variety x year) and second order interaction (varieties x locations x year) were highly significant. The highly significant interactions indicate that varieties need to be tested in severe years and locations in order to select stable variety.

Thirty five accessions of brinjal were assessed for variability for nineteen characters. Highly significant differences were observed among the accessions. High phenotypic and genotypic coefficient of variation was observed for number of fruits per cluster, number of fruits per plant, fruit length, fruit width, average fruit weight, fruit yield per plant, ascorbic acid content, total phenol content, shoot and fruit borer infestation indicating the existence of wider genetic variability for these traits in the germplasm.

Combining ability effects of yield and its components in okra were studied through full diallel analysis of 66 F1 hybrids derived by crossing 12 nearly homozygous germplasm lines viz., IC- 45831, IC- 282272, IC- 43733, IC- 43750, IC- 45802, Sel – 4, Pusa Mukhmali, Parbhani Kranti, VRO- 3, Sel – 10, Pusa A-4 and SB – 8 and by using Arka Anamika as check. Out of these 12 genotypes, IC-45802, Parbhani Kranti and VRO-3 exhibited highest significant GCA effect for fruit yield per plant (g) and subsequent fruit yield per hectare (q).

The sesame germplasm consisting of thirty three accessions were assessed for the extent of variability, degree and direction of character association among yield and its contributing traits and the direct and indirect effects of various components on yield. Analysis of variance showed significant differences among the genotypes for almost all the characters studied. High and moderate phenotypic and genotypic coefficients of variation (PCV and GCV) were noticed for most of the yield contributing characters.

40 (forty) yellow seeded genotypes of linseed taken from AICRP on linseed, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur (Chhattisgarh) along with one check variety surabhi (yellow seeded check) were evaluated for estimation of seed yield and oil content. The high significant and positive correlation of oil yield per plant with 1000 seed weight suggested that heavy weight seed might have higher oil content. Therefore, selection based on 1000 seed weight could be depending on rich oil yield for the development of varieties.
