The current research is undertaken by performing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations for a 2D aerofoil fitted with a shock control bump at a transonic flow condition. Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes equation coupled with turbulence models is adopted to solve the flowfield. The bump has a conventional geometric feature which consists of a ramp, a crest and a tail, and it has eight variants for which the designed parameters are reasonably specified according to the compressible aerodynamics theory.

The paper proposes a novel method that applies Buckingham's Pi theory and the Random Forest regression to improve the prediction accuracy of the sequent depths of the hydraulic jump in the trapezoidal channel. The study has shown that Machine Learning models can be efficient for the determination of the geometrical features of the jump and have high ability in many real projects.

In this paper, we propose to use Conformal Geometric Algebra (CGA) to feature extraction and reduce dimensions of the data. First, the action data is preprocessed to normalize the data. Next, use CGA to reduce dimensions of data and create feature vectors. Finally, use the LSTM for training and prediction. The experiment was conducted on the CMU dataset with 8 different actions and the results showed that the proposed method has higher results than the previous methods.

This paper describes the development of Hole Recognition System (HRS) for Computer-Aided Process Planning (CAPP) using a neutral data format produced by CAD system. The geometrical data of holes is retrieved from STandard for the Exchange of Product model data (STEP). Rule-based algorithm is used during recognising process. Current implementation of feature recognition is limited to simple hole features. Test results are presented to demonstrate the capabilities of the feature recognition algorithm.

Following previous investigations by Giordano and Mancuso [1] and Mancuso and Giordano [2,3] on the differential rotation of the solar corona as obtained through the analysis of the intensity time series of the O VI 1032 A˚ spectral line observed by the UVCS/SOHO telescope during solar cycle 23, we analysed the possible influence of projection effects of extended coronal structures on the observed differential rotation rate in the ultraviolet corona.
