Glutamate acid decarboxylase 1

Glutamate decarboxylase 1 (GAD1), a rate-limiting enzyme in the production of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), is found in the GABAergic neurons of the central nervous system. Little is known about the relevance of GAD1 to oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). We investigated the expression status of GAD1 and its functional mechanisms in OSCCs.

Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), GABA-A receptors and GABA transporter 1 (GAT1) were reported to be involved in the proliferation of Leydig cells, testosterone production and spermatogenesis. Since methamphetamine (METH) has been reported to have adverse effects on testis and its functions, the aim of this study was therefore to determine the changes of GABAergic activity in testis after METH exposure.

Các tự kháng thể anti GAD và ICA liên quan đến quá trình tự miễn ở bệnh nhân đái tháo đường. Việc phát hiện chúng ở những bệnh nhân đái tháo đường tiến triển là hết sức cần thiết bởi vì sự có mặt của anti GAD và ICA là dự báo diễn tiến thành đái tháo đường phụ thuộc insulin trong tương lai. Đề tài nhằm mục tiêu: (1) Xác định tỉ lệ dương tính, nồng độ kháng thể anti GAD và ICA trên bệnh nhân đái tháo đường. (2) Khảo sát mối liên quan giữa các tự kháng thể anti GAD, ICA với một số đặc điểm lâm sàng và cận lâm sàng của bệnh nhân đái tháo đường.
