In this study, the gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were synthesized via redox reaction, by using ethylene diamine tetra-acetic acid (EDTA) as a protecting and reducing agent, with tetrachloroauric acid (HAuCl4) as precursor and seed solution. The ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis) method was utilized to investigated the reaction conditions (the EDTA:HAuCl4 ratio, the amount of seed solution and stirring solution time) at room temperature. The synthesized AuNPs were deposited on the surface of fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) by electrophoresis deposition.

Surface modification of interdigitated DNA sensors by polypyrrole nanowires and gold nanoparticles has been analyzed systematically. Polypyrrole nanowires with diameter of 200 nm and length of 5 mm were electrochemically synthesized on the gold surface of interdigitated electrodes and subsequently decorated with 20 nm gold nanoparticles.

Gold (Au) and silver (Ag) nanoparticles were synthesized by laser ablation in water. The average sizes of Au and Ag nanoparticles are of 18.4 nm and 21.8 nm, respectively. ZnS:Mn2+ nanoparticles with average size of 3-5 nm were prepared by co-precipitation method.

Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) with average particle sizes of 13.3 nm were synthesized by γrays irradiation of 1.0 mM Au3+ solutions using low molecular weight β-glucan extracted from yeast cell wall as a stabilizer. The UV-Vis spectra and TEM images were used to analyze the optical characteristic and particle size of AuNPs.

Puerarin-coated gold nanoparticles (PUE-AuNPs) synthesized via green synthetic route, a new colorimetric sensor, efficiently detected the ciprofloxacin (CP) in tap water and cow milk samples. The PUE-AuNPs were characterized by UV-visible, FTIR, AFM, and DLS techniques and were found to be spherical with an average size of approximately 19–20 nm. FTIR spectrum confirms that functional groups such as –OH, -C=O, -CO and –C=C were responsible for the reduction of gold (III) chloride trihydrate. These functional groups acted as capping agents to form AuNPs.

In the present study, we have follwed the hydrothermal path for the synthesis of gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) from the biomaterial Elaeocarpus ganitrus seeds extract, which is a rapid, eco-friendly, non-chemical way. The prepared NPs were thoroughly analysed by powder x-ray diffraction and high resolution transmission electron microscopy studies and were also tested for anticancer studies.

Aim of the present study was the isolation and characterization of gold nanoparticles synthesizing bacteria from these sites for synthesis of gold nanoparticles. Eighty five bacterial isolates were isolated from the samples using nutrient agar medium. All the bacterial isolates were studied for various morphological characters. Eighty five bacterial isolates were screened individually for their ability to synthesize gold nanoparticles and only 38 bacterial isolates, from goldmine were shown to possess gold nanoparticles synthesizing activity.

The unique property of the silver and gold nanoparticles having antibacterial activity drags the major attention towards the present nanotechnology. Synthesis of nanobodies is of great interest in the development of nanotechnological tool for biomedical applications. This study investigates a competent and sustainable route of AgNP and AuNP preparation using Camel milk, well adorned for their wide availability and healing property. The silver and gold nanoparticles were examined by UV-visible spectroscopy (Systonic 2203) that demonstrated a peak at 446 and 551nm respectively.

A biomimetic method of gold nanoparticles synthesis utilizing the highly invasive aquatic weed pistia (Pistia stratiotes) is presented. In an attempt to utilize the entire plant, the efficacy of the extracts of all its parts – aerial and submerged – was explored with different proportions of gold (III) solution in generating gold nanoparticles (GNPs). The progress of the synthesis, which occurred at ambient temperature and pressure and commenced soon after mixing the pistia extracts and gold (III) solutions, was tracked using UV–visible spectrophotometry.

Sphere-like gold nanoparticles have diameter of 20 - 60 nm, while rod-like gold nanoparticles have aspect ratio from 2 to 4.
