The model showed matching results for all duplex oxide combinations in varying stress, but the inner logarithmical oxide gave higher crack growth rates than the power law. The power law with the thicker inner oxide showed good results for the change of stress intensity factor and gave the best results when the yield stress was varied. Grain misorientation effect was higher for the duplex oxides with thicker outer oxides.

Epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs), such as gefitinib, have achieved good efficacy in EGFR mutation-positive non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients, but eventual drug resistance is inevitable. Thus, new TKI-based combination therapies should be urgently explored to extend the overall survival time of these patients.

The effect of different nitrogen sources on cell growth and polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) accumulation by halophilic bacterium strain Yangia sp. ND199 was investigated. The combination of 0.5 g/L potassium nitrate (KNO3) and 0.5 g/L yeast extract was shown to be good nitrogen source for cell growth and PHBV production by Yangia sp. ND199.

In this paper, we examined combinations of skip row planting and N-fertilizer application time in happy seeder sown wheat crop with the view to optimize grain production as well as trying to establish an overarching management protocol that will achieve good quality targets. This study will be useful to accelerate the adoption of happy seeder for sowing of wheat in in-situ rice straw in the rice-wheat growing area of the world.

The present investigation was carried out with the objective to assess the magnitude and direction of heterosis and to identify good combiners for growth, earliness and yield characters. The maximum heterosis over better parent, the best parent and the commercial check was observed in the cross Bot.G-6-2 X Arka Bahar for all the growth parameters studied except heterobeltiosis for vine length.

In the present study, eight treatments (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, and T8) were taken to study the efficacy of developed fabric bio-fertilizer on plant growth using various potting media components to identify the best suited component and combination for the production. Cotton bio-fertilizer (T3C3) and silk bio-fertilizer (T5S2) application gave highest growth of marigold plant and the lowest growth was achieved in control (T7) and while slightly lower in Farm Yard Manure (FYM) treatment (T8).

The plant-based-sea water culture medium is introduced to in vitro cultivation and in situ recovery of the microbiome of halophytes. The ice plant (Mesembryanthemum crystallinum) was used, in the form of juice and/or dehydrated plant powder packed in teabags, to supplement the natural sea water. The resulting culture medium enjoys the combinations of plant materials as rich source of nutrients and sea water exercising the required salt stress. As such without any supplements, the culture medium was sufficient and efficient to support very good in vitro growth of halotolerant bacteria.
