Efficient post-harvest handling storage can tremendously contribute to socio-economic empowerment in developing nations. Farmers use traditional storage containers for storing food grains for their own need. These storage structures are comparatively cheap, eco-friendly and impart high shelf life to the stored commodities. These traditional storage systems could be applied in modern storage areas with minor modification, could save food commodities that would be damaged by insects.

We report on a controlled process of atomic-scale material design based on calcination-temperatureinduced structural variation and its influence on capacitive energy storage characteristics of spinelstructured NiCo2O4 rods (NCOR). Precisely, morphology-tuned NCOR were grown through a facile solvothermal process followed by a controlled calcination.

Present study was conducted in Basmat taluka of Hingoli district. Ten villages having highest area under food grain crops were selected for the study. From each village, 12 respondents were selected randomly, who stored food grains to their home and godowns. Thus a sample of 120 respondents was selected for the study. The data was collected through personal interview method with the help of structured schedule.

Post-harvest grain storage operation is a concluding activity in agriculture and mostly performed by rural women to secure the food grains and reduce the post-harvest losses. Post-harvest losses occur from farm to ultimate consumption. These losses might be either due to lack of awareness on the part of rural women about the scientific grain storage methods, improved storage practices and improved storage structures.

The present research was carried out to investigate the effect of packing materials (Hermetic bag, 300 PP bag, 200 PP bag, White plastic bag and gunny bag) and grain moisture content at packing (13%) on quality of Green gram cereals for Six months of storage in the laboratory of Farm Structures, Dr. PDKV Agriculture University Akola, Maharashtra. The quality characters (microbiological and color analysis) were determined throughout the storage period and the changes in the quality of stored grain were evaluated in terms of these variables.
