A field experiment was conducted during the Kharif season of 2019 at Agronomy Instructional Farm, Mandan Bharti Agriculture College, Saharsa, Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur, Bihar to evaluate the best finger millet based inter cropping with different legumes. Based on the results, it was concluded that intercropping of finger millet with black gram at 4:2 pair row ratio was distinctly superior among all intercropping system found most profitable by realizing the highest net return.

The present investigation on Abundance of natural enemies associated with Rhopalosiphum maidis (Fitch) in maize based planting system was carried out at Instructional farm and Department of Entomology, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, MPUAT, Udaipur. Maize variety Pratap maize-5 was sown with different intercrops viz., green gram, black gram, cowpea and soyabean in kharif, 2017. The coccinellids appeared in first week of August and thereafter gradually increased with aphid population reaching to its peak in second week of September, 2017.

Crop diversification with resource efficient and remunerative cropping systems is a sustainable agricultural practice. On farm demonstrations with diversified cropping system of Redgram + soybean Vis-a-Vis farmers’ practice of sole cotton were conducted in ten farmer’s locations of Warangal district of Telangana state. Crop diversification with red gram + soybean realized 29.9% higher (3706 kg ha-1 ) mean cotton kapas equivalent yield over farmer’s practice of cultivation of sole cotton (2852 kg ha-1 ). Mean technology and extension gap were 594 kg ha-1 and 854 kg ha-1 respectively.

Field experiments were conducted at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal during winter irrigated season of 2015- 2016 and 2016-2017 to study the different fertilizer levels in Bt cotton based annual legume fodder intercropping systems. The treatments comprised of intercropping systems in the main plot (C1- Bt cotton alone; C2- Bt cotton + fodder cowpea; C3-Bt cotton + horse gram; C4- Bt cotton + moth bean; C5- Bt cotton + pillipesera) and different fertilizer levels in sub plot (F1-100% RDF; F2- 125% RDF; F3-150% RDF).

The experiment was conducted at the Research farm, Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidhyalaya, Jabalpur (MP) during Kharif 2009 and 2011 with a view to study “Effect of different intercropping system on growth and yield of ashwagandha [Withania somnifera (L.)] in Kymore Plateau of Madhya Pradesh”. Showed that the plant height did not differ between different treatments at early stage (30 DAS) but at maturity stage, it attained significantly taller plants when intercropped with red gram during both years.
