Granitic plutons
-
Dak Krong plutonic rocks are found in the Kontum Massif along the N-S-oriented Po Ko River and mainly within the distributive area of the Ben Giang-Que Son granitic bodies. The Hai Van complex crosscuts the Dak-Krong rocks.

The Soursat Complex in northwestern of Iran is part of the Sanandaj-Sirjan metamorphic belt. Three granitoid suites are present: Type I– syenogranite and deformed syenogranite; Type II– Turkeh Dare and Pichagchi plutons; and Type III– quartz porphyry. The granites can be assigned to a medium-K calc-alkaline to high-K calc-alkaline series.

The Bazman granitoid complex (BGC), including a large zoned pluton, intrudes into the upper Paleozoic sedimentary cover of the Lut block. It crops out on the southern slope of the Bazman volcano in Baluchestan Province of Iran. The intrusive rocks range from gabbro to various metaluminous to weakly peraluminous granites, and they are classified as I-type magmatic series.

The distribution of 226Ra, 232Th, and 40K in 70 granite samples obtained from 13 Western Anatolian plutons (Turkey) was measured by using γ-ray spectroscopy. The activities of the measured radionuclides varied up to 259 Bq kg–1 for 226Ra, up to 241 Bq kg–1 for 232Th, and up to 2518 Bq kg–1 for 40K, with mean values of 66 (±44), 90 (±47), and 1097 (±410) Bq kg–1, respectively, which are smaller than the mean values given for granites worldwide.
