Green-gram cultivation

Greengram (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek) is legume crop cultivating throughout the year, which is amicable for all kinds of environment. The MYMV incidence and low harvest index leading to low yield. Genetic variability parameters were studied in 100 greengram genotypes raised during kharif 2013 in randomised block design with two replications. Observations were made for eighteen biometrical traits.

Each of them has a distinct role in promoting the adoption of improved agricultural practices. Nevertheless, it is the farmers who occupy central position in this scheme because it is they who take the decision to adopt or reject.

he study was conducted to investigate the socio - economic profile of the selected pulses growing farmers in Mahabubnagar district of Telangana state. The state of Telangana was selected purposively for the study as the investigator hails from the state. Out of 31 districts of Telangana state, Mahabubnagar district was selected purposively for the study. In this district, the blocks recorded highest area was selected. In each block two villages with highest area under cultivation of particular crop were selected.
