Ebook "The marketing of rebellion: Insurgents, media, and international activism" rejects dominant views that needy groups readily gain help from selfless nongovernmental organizations (NGOs). Instead, they face a Darwinian struggle for scarce resources where support goes to the savviest, not the neediest. Examining Mexico's Zapatista rebels and Nigeria's Ogoni ethnic group, the book draws critical conclusions about social movements, NGOs, and 'global civil society'.

Millets are not only powerhouses of nutrients; they also play the role of hedging against several insecurities (food, fodder, fiber, health etc). However the cultivation of millets has declined in recent years, which has to be revived due to its nutritional benefits and the consumers should be encouraged to include millets in their regular diet to fight malnutrition.

Journalists are often ill equipped to meet the information needs of special populations during health-related emergencies. They also may not see it as their job or role to communicate directly with these audiences. Special populations include elderly people, disabled people, homeless people, housebound populations, racial and cultural minorities, linguistic minorities, illiterate populations, transient populations (for example, tourists, business travellers and migrant workers) and institutionalized populations.
