The thesis contributes to the economics literature by providing a theoretical and empirical investigation of the effects of changes in the relative size of government on Australian economic performance. The theoretical literature indicates that an expansion in government size is likely to induce adverse effects upon economic growth for a host of reasons.

Alfalfa is an important medicinal plant having stachydrine as alkaloid and used as laxative, digestive, diuretic and treating for dropsy, blood pressure, hair loss, acidity and arthritis. Present investigation was carried out during rabi season 2019-20, Dept. of PMA, College of Horticulture, Bagalkote with the objective to study the effect of plant growth hormones on yield characteristics of Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) under Northern dry Zone of Karnataka.

The development of fruits without fertilization is known as parthenocarpy. Parthenocarpy improves the fruit quality, processing attributes, production and productivity of vegetable crops like tomato, cucumber, watermelon etc. Absence of seeds can enhances the shelf life of the fruits, allowing a better conservation, fruit set in adverse climatic conditions, early and offseason production of vegetable crops. Therefore, it is important to ensure yield stability regardless of environmental conditions.

A Field experiment was conducted at college form, agricultural college bapatla in clay loam soils during Rabi 2013-14 to study the effects of Ethrel, kinetin and boron foliar application on physiology of growth, development and yield of chickpea (Var. KAK 2) in randomized block design with eight treatments viz., 250ppm Ethrel at 25 DAS (T1), 10 ppm kinetin at 35 DAS (T2), 0.25% boron at 45 DAS (T3), 250 ppm Ethrel at 25DAS + 10 ppm Kinetin at 35DAS (T4), 10 ppm Kinetin at 35DAS + 0.25% boron at 45 DAS (T5), 250 ppm Ethrel at 25DAS + 0.

A field experiment was conducted during Kharif season of 2016 at College of Agriculture, Gwalior with a view to assess the effect of crop geometry and fertility levels on growth and productivity of Clusterbean. Experiment was laid out as randomized block design(RBD) replicated thrice with 10 treatments. The study revealed that among different crop geometry treatments, reducing 25% plant population (by increased plant intra-row spacing) gave significantly higher values of all growth attributes viz., plant height and number of branches/plant; yield attributes viz.

In 2005 it was suggested within a New York Times article that perhaps a university level qualification in film studies could be considered “the new MBA” given the moving image’s extraordinary capacity for communicating messages on a global scale (Van Ness, 2005). The increasingly prominent position of films in the academic library from the early ‘90s onwards has popularly been attributed to the rise of film studies in universities along with advances in home video technology.

Folate plays a critical role in maintaining normal metabolic, energy, differ-entiation and growth status of all mammalian cells. The intestinal folate uptake is tightly and diversely regulated, and disturbances in folate homeo-stasis are observed in alcoholism, attributable, in part, to intestinal mal-absorption of folate.

Parathyroid hormone (PTH)(1–34), which has been established to have a dual effect on bone metabolism, was recently found to regulate osteosarcoma cell migration. A significant part of the bone anabolic action of PTH(1–34) is attributed to fibroblast growth factor (FGF)-2 stimulation.

Invasion Many diseases are caused primarily by pathogens growing in tissue sites that are normally sterile. Pneumococcal pneumonia is mostly attributable to the growth of S. pneumoniae in the lung and the attendant host inflammatory response, although specific factors that enhance this process (e.g., pneumolysin) may be responsible for some of the pathogenic potential of the pneumococcus. Disease that follows bacteremia and invasion of the meninges by meningitisproducing bacteria such as N. meningitidis, H. influenzae, E.
