Growth of rhizobia isolated

Xem 1-11 trên 11 kết quả Growth of rhizobia isolated
  • Rhizobia topic has been re-focused in recent years because of new findings on their traits not only as nitrogen-fixing bacteria but also as plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria. When combing rhizobial strains with novel biological carriers (e.g., biochar) for inoculant production, it brings great potential for improving soil health in long-term.

  • Phenotypic and genotypic diversity of rhizobia isolated from root and soil rhizosphere of summer mungbean was assessed on the basis of plant growth promoting traits and using RAPD primers. In present studies, isolates of rhizobia from nodules were purified on Congo red Yeast Mannitol Agar (CRYEMA) medium from summer mungbean growing areas of Punjab state, India.

  • In this present study, different Rhizobial and Pseudomonas strains from different locations were collected and evaluated for their potential PGP activity. Among ten Rhizobial cultures GNR1 recorded the highest P solubilization zone (24.3 mm) conversely, P solubilization is highest in Pseudomonas isolates. Five cultures of Rhizobia and six cultures of Pseudomonas were able to solubilize potassium. The solubilisation zone is ranging from a maximum of 11.6 to a minimum of 8.3 mm.

  • Study was conducted to isolate and characterize Rhizobia from root nodules of pigeon pea from Vijayapur, Kalaburgi and Bagalkot districts of northern regions of Karnataka. Ten Rhizobial isolates and reference strain PPM35B were subjected for nodulation test. All the isolates showed positive result for nodulation. The number of nodules was ranging from 12 to 14.5 per plant.

  • clusterbean (Cymopsis tetragonoloba (L.) Taub.) An attempt has been made to evaluate the effect of abiotic constraints (drought and temperature) on the growth of rhizobia isolated from clusterbean grown in semiarid regions of Haryana with a view to screen out stress tolerant rhizobial isolates. A total of 158 rhizobial isolates have been used for screening their stress tolerating ability with contrast to environmental abiotic soil conditions commonly prevailing in semi-arid regions of Haryana. All the isolates were phenotypically and biochemically characterized.

  • A study was carried out in the Department of Soil Science, DRPCAU, Pusa, Bihar during 2014-15 to evaluate physiological properties of Rhizobium isolated from winged bean, pea, gram, lentil and moong. Production of indole acetic acid (IAA), resistance to antibiotics and tolerance to variable pH are some important key concerns for its adaptability to various soil conditions as inoculants. Rhizobia, in general, followed a similar trend towards pH tolerance in terms of growth (measured as OD) i.e., their growth was higher around neutral pH.

  • The present study was undertaken to obtain the best host cultivar-Rhizobial strain combination in the soils of Hoshiarpur. A Pot experiment was conducted by sowing seeds of Pea (Pisum sativum (L.)) varAP-3 along with screened isolated strains of Rhizobia in soil samples. After 60 days of sowing various parameters such as number of nodules, fresh weight and dry weight of plants, length of plants, leghaemoglobin content, nitrogenase activity and percent nitrogen content were recorded.

  • A study was conducted to isolate and characterize the rhizobia from the root nodule of Dalbergia sissoo from five different sites of Himachal Pradesh (Bilaspur, Solan, Hamirpur, Kangra and Una) and Uttrakhand (Rishikesh, Nainital, Haridwar, Dehradun and Udham Singh Nagar). A total of 79 bacterial isolates were isolated from root nodule of Dalbergia sissoo on YEMA media after 3 days of incubation at 37˚C by serial dilution method.

  • Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill] is a legume known for nitrogen fixation interacting with efficient Bradyrhizobium strains. In Côte d'Ivoire, the Bradyrhizobium inoculums used in soybean production is a foreign strain, which requires the search for indigenous strains adapted to Ivorian soils. The present study aimed to isolate and select rhizobial bacteria from soybeans grown on soils sampled from six localities in the central-western region of Côte d'Ivoire.

  • A phenotypic characterization of thirteen root nodule bacteria recovered from wild legumes (Genista microcephala and Argyrolobium uniflorum) growing in arid eco-climate zones (Northeastern Algeria) was conducted using analysis of sixty-six phenotypic traits (carbohydrate and nitrogen assimilation, vitamin requirements, growth temperature, salinity/pH tolerance and enzyme production). Furthermore, SDS-PAGE profiles of total cell protein, antibiotic susceptibility and heavy metal resistance were performed.
