The experiment was carried out during Rabi season 2015-16 and 2016-17 at Crop Research Farm, SHUATS Model of Organic Farm (SMOF), Department of Agronomy, Naini Agricultural Institute, SHUATS, Prayagraj (U.P.) to study the ‘Effect of System of Wheat Intensification technique on growth parameters of organic wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)’.

A field experiment was conducted during winter season of 2011-2012 at Instructional Farm of Narendra Deva University of Agriculture & Technology Narendra Nagar (Kumarganj), Faizabad. The experiment was consisting of eight (8) treatment viz., T1 (control), T2 (100% RDF), T3 (75% RDF + 25% FYM-N), T4 (50% RDF +50% FYM- N), T5 (25% RDF +75 % FYM -N), T6 (75% RDF + 25% Vermicompost-N), T7 (50% RDF +50% Vermicompost -N), T8 (25% RDF + 75% Vermicompost -N) were laid out in randomized block design with four replication.

Studies were conducted to evaluate the effect of inorganic and organic fertilization on growth, yield of wheat and nutrient status of the soil. Significant differences in the vegetative growth parameters viz. plant height, number of green leaves, number of tillers/meter row length and yield parameters viz. Spike length, number of spikelets per spike, number of grains/ear, number of ear heads/m2 , test weight, straw yield and biological yield was highest under the application of 50 % recommended dose of fertilizers along with application of 5 t/ha vermicompost (T7).

An experiment was conducted at Coastal soil salinity research station, Navsari Agricultural University, Danti during rabi seasons of 2016-17 and 2017-18 to study the effect of different levels of fertilizer on yield and nutrient uptake of wheat under partially reclaimed coastal salt affected soil of South Gujarat. The pooled results revealed that organic manures and fertilizer levels treatments influenced significantly the plant population at harvest, yield attributes, yield and economics of wheat crop.
