This paper discuss the impact of watershed interventions on bio-physical, hydrological, agricultural and socio-economic indicators. Changes were detected in land use for agriculture crops, water body coverage and area under very good soil moisture. Ground water table and crop productivity were improved. Migration of workers from rural to urban areas was declined.The mean gross income of households was increased. Overall, the watershed interventions provided resilience by ensuring sustainable multiple outputs, besides soil and water conservation.

In the duty-cycled networks, packet delay is greatly affected by node deployment, therefore we aim to determine node density in a wireless sensor network in order to guarantee the average E2E delay given network parameters using the probability theory. Simulation results show that the proposed node deployment method consumes less energy while requiring a smaller number of sensor nodes than those of other existing works.

The proposed scheme is compared with the existing parametric and nonparametric GWMA monitoring schemes and other well-known control schemes. The effect of the estimated design parameters as well as the effect of the Phase I sample size on the Phase II performance of the new monitoring scheme are also investigated. The results show that the proposed scheme presents better and attractive mean shifts detection properties, and therefore outperforms the existing monitoring schemes in many situations.

With reference to consideration on the future of credit guarantees in the world, it may be interesting to analyze the UK framework of guarantee schemes in favour of SMEs, where there are no private guarantee providers and where there is a substantial public monopoly. In particular, in this paper it emerges that among the countries examined by the OECD, the country where the credit guarantees are least widespread is the United Kingdom. However, the trend in bankruptcies recorded in recent years by British firms is better than the median of the other countries considered.

The paper investigates if Credit Guarantee Schemes (CGSs) have an effect on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) bankruptcies. In such a framework, some recent studies are devoted to deepen the issue at national level. We design a class of submodular functions meant for document summarization tasks. These functions each combine two terms, one which encourages the summary to be representative of the corpus, and the other which positively rewards diversity. We start by discussing the role of explicit deposit insurance in the financial safety net as well as the peculiar features of different deposit insurance schemes across countries. We review both the theoretical literature and the empirical evidence on the topic. We then move to investigate how deposit insurance is likely to affect interest rates in the banking sector. We collect data on different economic and financial variables, as well as institutional indicators, for a set of 80 countries.
