Fundamental analysis for dummies is one of the most approachable texts to tackle this somewhat complex topic. Rather than bog you down with the nitty-gritty details that academics pull their hair over, I’ve attempted to lay out all the main topics and techniques you’ll need to apply fundamental analysis to a variety of business tasks. And while fundamental analysis is useful for anyone with an interest in business, appreciate the fact you are likely hoping to make some money from fundamental analysis.

In this paper, this drawback was intended to be addressed by the use of hexanol-based supramolecular solvents (SUPRAS) with restrictedaccess properties. The aim was to develop a fast and interference-free sample treatment workflow for the determination of opioids, cocaine, amphetamines and their metabolites in human hair.

Cashmere is a keratinized product derived from the secondary hair follicles (SHFs) of cashmere goat skins. The cashmere fiber stops growing following the transition from the actively proliferating anagen stage to the apoptosis-driven catagen stage. However, little is known regarding the molecular mechanisms responsible for the occurrence of apoptosis in SHFs, especially as pertains to the role of non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) and their interactions with other molecules.

Hair fibre length is an important economic trait of rabbits in fur production. However, molecular mechanisms regulating rabbit hair growth have remained elusive. Results: Here we aimed to characterise the skin traits and gene expression profiles of short-hair and long-hair rabbits by histological and transcriptome analyses.

Members of the plant-specific SPL gene family (squamosa promoter-binding protein -like) contain the SBP conserved domain and are involved in the regulation of plant growth and development, including the development of plant flowers and plant epidermal hair, the plant stress response, and the synthesis of secondary metabolites.

Keratin-associated proteins are fibrillar proteins and are the vital components of hair and wool fibres as they are part of matrix of fibres and form a cross- linked network with the keratin intermediate filaments. Variation in sequence and expression pattern of KAP may affect fibre characteristics. In this study, we used direct DNA sequencing to analyse the goat HGT-KAP 7.1gene which codes for the protein responsible for the fineness of fibre.

The microscopic hair analysis of Large Indian Civet (Viverra zibetha) and Small Indian Civet (Viverricula indica) was done using the optical light microscope for its species identification, the hair of two species showed different cuticular and cross-section characteristics. The unique cuticular pattern ‘broad diamond petal’ and the shape of the cross-section ‘oval or oblong’ of dorsal guard hair of two species determine the species identity between the two species.

Cannabis products (marijuana, weed, hashish) are among the most widely abused psychoactive drugs in the world, due to their euphorigenic and anxiolytic properties. Recently, hair analysis is of great interest in analytical, clinical, and forensic sciences due to its non-invasiveness, negligible risk of infection and tampering, facile storage, and a wider window of detection.

Current views on the control of cell development are anchored on the notion that phenotypes are defined by networks of transcriptional activity. The large amounts of information brought about by transcriptomics should allow the definition of these networks through the analysis of cell-specific transcriptional signatures.

In the present study 86 number of skin scrapings were collected from various breeds like Labrador retriever (n=32), German shepherd (n=21), Spitz (n=9), Dacshund (n=16), Mastiff (n=5), Boxer (n=3) and age groups from 6 months to, above 3 year with characteristics ring like lesions, alopecia, irregular patches of hair loss. All the dogs were presented to teaching veterinary clinical complex, Odisha veterinary college from December 2018 to June 2019.On routine identification of fungus out of 86 number of skin scrappings it was revealed that arthospores were present in 54 number of samples.

During kharif 2017, among the 20 genotypes screened indicated that lowest mean population of yellow mite and highest mean leaf hair density and trichome length were recorded in Chaitanya (MRC-7377) (0.29 yellow mite/ leaf) followed by Soumya (SRCH-55) and were superior to all the genotypes. While highest mean yellow mite population and least mean leaf hair density and trichome length were observed in Super fibre (KDCHB-407) (2.

Hair identification is a complex and important aspect in view of forensic investigation. The use of scanning electron microscopy in wildlife forensic cases has been described for species identification in this review article. The surface cuticular pattern, cross section and medullary index provides the information regarding the domestic and wild species of the animals. Elemental analysis through EDS provides significant information of the hair sample of specific sample which can further be used as a geographical region and species identification tool.

Aim of the study is to isolate and enumerate dermatophytes and other fungi from clinically suspected cases of Dermatomycoses, to co-relate the isolate and findings with clinical presentations and to analyse the Dermatophyte test medium for the growth of dermatophytes. Hundred (100) clinically suspected cases of dermatophytosis and dermatomycoses attending Dermatology O.P.D., was selected for the study including hair, skin and nail samples. It was a prospective and descriptive study.

Geoff Allan, Mark Booth, Jacob Wani and Wally Solata traveled to the Yonki Dam Research Station at the conclusion of the feeds workshop to inspect a tilapia feeding experiment (i.e. approximately 1 hour by road from the CRI) (ACIAR Mini-Project led by Cathy Hair). Several other workshop participants that were traveling back to Lae also took the opportunity to visit the Station (e.g. Greg Denn, Klaus & Tom Neumeier, Miok Komolong, Densly Tapat, Eric Nogas, Johnney Soranzie & others). The Yonki Dam was created to drive a hydro-electric power scheme providing electricity to much of PNG.
