In this paper, the measurement of the mechanical parameters like force requirement, hand cranking capabilities, length of cutting & moisture content of different fodders are reported. Force requirement was increased gradually due to the presence of high moisture content of fodders and large size diameter of fodders. Hand cranking capabilities at load conditions gradually decreased compare to at no-load conditions.

The hand shelling using fingers remains the most favoured method for shelling of sweet corn cob kernels. The rate of hand shelling method is too low and also causes pain in the fingers used for plucking of the sweet corn kernel from the cob. It was observed in many cases the sweet corn kernels can be shelled by different techniques viz. shelling whole cob, shelling cob by breaking the cob across the length and shelling cob by splitting/paring the cob along the length.

An investigation was carried out in farmers’ field in Savadatti taluk of Belgaum district on bunch feeding in banana cv. Rajapuri. Bunch fed with combination of 500 ml of cow dung slurry and 20 g of K2SO4 (T3) showed increased values bunch length (57.47 cm), internodal length (13.84 cm), bunch shape index (109.44 cm), number of hands per bunch (9.08), weight of hand (1.79 kg), finger length (15.91 cm), finger girth (12.68 cm), finger weight (141.50 g), pulp weight (75.54 g), peel weight (27.32 g), pulp to peel ratio (2.76) and bunch weight (13.20 kg) with lesser number of days (120.

A field experiment was carried out at Agricultural Research Station, Kota, Rajasthan during rainy (Kharif) season of 2016 and 2017, to evaluate bio efficacy of bentazone against major weeds of rice grown in direct seeded condition of south eastern Rajasthan. Treatments included post emergence application of bentazone @ 0.6 to 1.6 kg a.i/ha, 2,4 D@ 0.38 kga.i/ha, hand weeding twice (20 and 40 DAS) and weedy check, was laid out in randomized block design with three replications. The pooled data of two years revealed that application of bentazone @ 1.2 kg a.

This paper presents an experimental study for the structural performance of reinforced concrete (RC) exterior beam–column joints rehabilitated using carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP). The present experimental program consists of testing 10 half-scale specimens divided into three groups covering three possible defects in addition to an adequately detailed control specimen. The considered defects include the absence of the transverse reinforcement within the joint core, insufficient bond length for the beam main reinforcement and inadequate spliced implanted column on the joint.

Only the first two hundred words or so of each story were included in the corpus in order to allow a greater samplin~ of reports.
