Harmonic mean

This paper proposes an efficient method for detecting Vietnamese text in outdoor scene images. Essentially, the text detection method presented here is based on the idea of utilizing deep learning network architectures to learn various geometric properties in order to reconstruct polygonal representations of text regions.

The paper shows that the response of the random Rayleigh system, which is under harmonic and random excitations, can be found by a system of algebraic equations. The analytical approach is based on the stochastic averaging method and equivalent linearization method in Cartesian coordinates so that the Fokker-Planck equation associated with the linear equations obtained can be solved exactly by the technique of auxiliary function. The harmonic excitation frequency is taken to be in the neighborhood of the system natural frequency.

In this paper, we obtain fourth order iterative method for solving nonlinear equations by combining arithmetic mean Newton method, harmonic mean Newton method and midpoint Newton method uniquely. Also, some variant of Newton type methods based on inverse function have been developed. These methods are free from second order derivatives.

Inspired by the theory of analysis on fractals, we construct an example of a continuous, monotone function on an interval, which has vanishing derivatives on a dense set and infinite derivatives on another dense set. Although such examples could be constructed by classical means of probability and measure theory, this one is more elementary and emerges naturally as a byproduct of some new fractal constructions.

In this paper, oscillations and stability of nonlinear oscillators with time delay are studied by means of the asymptotic method of nonlinear mechanics. Harmonic, superharmonic, subharmonic and parametric resonances of a Duffings oscillator are analyzed. Analytical method in combination with a computer is used.
