Health behavior

Motorcycles are rapidly changing transportation in Vietnamese cities. Motorcycles are dominant in all sixty-three provinces/cities of Vietnam and accounted for nearly 80 percent of passenger transportation. The remainder of this article comprises four sections: research background, research methods, research results, and a discussion of the research findings.

In this work, the electrochemical behavior of lead has been investigated with sensitive, fast and simple different pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV) method. Pest control practices in the vegetable crops have been heavily dominated by the routine use of broad-spectrum insecticides to control pests. Concerns have emerged about the adverse consequences of over use of pesticide. These consequences include short and longterm health hazards, contamination and environmental degradation. To minimize the pest losses farmers heavily depend on the chemical pesticides and accessing pest management information from the pesticide dealers due to weak state extension support system.

This article firstly presents the concept of delay discounting and the discount functions. Secondly, it summarizes the evidences for the relationship between delay discounting and health risk behaviors and describes how the discount functions explain these behaviors’ patterns. Finally, it introduces some strategies to reduce delay discounting in order to improve health behaviors and makes suggestions for school-based intervention programs targeting health risk behaviors in Vietnam.

The substrate selectivity and enantioselectivity of Solanum tuberosum epoxide hydrolase 1 (StEH1) have been explored by steady-state and pre-steady-state measurements on a series of styrene oxide derivatives. A prefer-ence for the (S)- or (S,S)-enantiomers of styrene oxide, 2-methylstyrene oxide andtrans-stilbene oxide was established, with E-values of 43, 160 and 2.9, respectively.
