Health care services

Quality of hospital care has been an increasing concern in Vietnam, especially in the overloaded situation at public hospitals in the whole country. Identifying related factors that influence the quality of hospital care is a critical work to improve the hospital performance and patient satisfaction. SERVPERF scale has been considered as a superior instrument for evaluating service quality, including in health care sector.

Those living with disadvantage suffer from higher rates of chronic conditions and multimorbidities. Little work has been done to investigate how this cohort experience patient-centred care and what their outcomes might be. This study showed that as a result of a short course of treatment clients experienced better levels of health and wellbeing and decreased levels of pain and disability. Interview data suggest that this may be due to a combination of therapy, setting and relationships formed within that setting.

The dissertation studies the quality of health care services by health insurance at district hospitals in Thai Nguyen province. The dissertation has summarized the theoretical and practical basis of the quality of health care services by health insurance. In addition to the traditional factors that constitute the quality of health care service by health insurance, approached from the patient's side according to the SERVPERF model, include Reliability; Responsiveness; Assurance; Empathy; Tangibles.
