Medical consortiums have been extensively established to facilitate the integration of health resources and bridge the technical gap among member institutions. This study aimed to investigate the differences in influencing mechanisms of clinicians’ hepatic contrastenhanced ultrasound technology (CEUS) utilization behavior between leading and subordinate hospitals within medical consortiums, thus providing clues for expanding effective and appropriate technologies within integrated care systems.

Functional somatic symptoms (FFS) and bodily distress disorders are highly prevalent across all medical settings. Services for these patients are dispersed across the health care system with minimal conceptual and operational integration, and patients do not currently access therapeutic offers in significant numbers due to a mismatch between their and professionals’ understanding of the nature of the symptoms.

Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are expected to “revolutionise” healthcare. However, despite their promises, their integration within healthcare organisations and systems remains limited. The objective of this study is to explore and understand the systemic challenges and implications of their integration in a leading Canadian academic hospital.

The primary healthcare system in Pakistan focuses on providing episodic, disease-based care. Health care for low-middle income communities is largely through a fee-for-service model that ignores preventive and health-promotive services. The growing burden of cardiovascular illnesses requires restructuring of the primary health care system allowing a community-to-clinic model of care to improve patient- and community-level health indicators.

There is a growing recognition of multidisciplinary practices as the most rational approach to providing better and more efficient healthcare services. Pharmacists are increasingly integrated into primary care teams, but there is no universal approach to implementing pharmacist services across healthcare settings.

Patient-centred measurement (PCM) emphasizes a holistic approach wherein the voices of patients are reflected in the standardized use of patient-reported outcome and experience measures and are represented throughout the continuum of measurement activities. Given the challenges of routinely integrating patient self reports into clinical care decisions, the perspectives of all healthcare system stakeholders, especially patients, is necessary to advance the science of PCM.

Health professionals in Colombian and many parts of the world, in some cases, work in precarious conditions and intend to migrate to other countries in search of better living conditions for themselves and their families, which results in inadequate distribution worldwide and in the quality of care throughout the health system, which can ultimately influence the quality of life of patients in their health-disease processes.

Ebook "Genome mapping and genomics in arthropods" provides comprehensive and up-to-date reviews on genomic research on a large variety of selected animal systems, contributed by leading scientists from around the world. Insects and other arthropods, the largest group of animals in number of species, have global impact on agriculture, industry, human health and environment. They are of particular economic importance for food production as pollinators, for natural products like silk and also as pests and parasites.

The goal of this study is to quantify the health-economic impacts of PM2.5 pollution for a specific province - Long An province in Vietnam using the EnHEBIS (Environment, Public Health, and Economic Benefit Management Support Integrated System) software package. The study outcomes showed that significant health and economic effects could occur in areas with high PM2.5 concentrations and dense population concentrations.

There are two main tendencies in Medical Informatics. One is the development of core theory in the information technology itself and the other one is the use of technologies in applications for health improving. In this paper, we will present an architectural model of the Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (MDL) and some result.

We propose a computational framework for integrating diverse patient measurements into an aggregate health score and applying it to patient stability prediction. We mapped retrospective patient data from the Multiparameter Intelligent Monitoring in Intensive Care (MIMIC) II clinical database into a discrete multidimensional space, which was searched for measurement combinations and trends relevant to patient outcomes of interest.

To determine the effect of availability of clinical information from an integrated electronic health record system on pregnancy outcomes at the point of care. Materials and methods: We used provider interviews and surveys to evaluate the availability of pregnancyrelated clinical information in ambulatory practices and the hospital, and applied multiple regression to determine whether greater clinical information availability is associated with improvements in pregnancy outcomes and changes in care processes.
