In the study "Isolation and characterization of culturable endophytic plant growth-promoting Bacillus species from Mentha longifolia L.", endophytic Bacillus strains were isolated from the root, stem, and leaves of healthy Mentha longifolia L. in Palandöken Mountain, Erzurum-Turkey and evaluated their plant growth promoting parameters such as nitrogen fixation, phosphate solubilization, IAA, siderophore, ACC deaminase, HCN production, and ammonia potential.

The nutritional stress is increasing with the passage of time because of low soil fertility and numerous stresses occur in the root zone of plants which reduce the uptake of minerals.

The present study aims to evaluate the suitability of flaxseed oil (rich plant source of long chain omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid) as healthy oil in formulation of therapeutic fat spread. Eight fat spread samples containing 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% total blend fat were prepared.

The present work focused on increasing the nutritional quality of pasta via chickpea flour and protein isolate in addition to monitoring the influences of this fortification on the physicochemical, texture and sensory attributes of functional pasta.

The development of products that fully meet the criteria for a healthy diet is one of the main trends in nutrition quality improvement worldwide. Amaranth, a leader in protein quality, has significant potential. A comparative study of the protein complex in leaf biomass has been conducted for the first time for Amaranthus spp. grown for various uses. The aim of the study was to analyze the characteristics of the amino acid composition and identify the relationships among its components in the amaranth leaf biomass.

The experiment was carried out in rabi season 2018-19 in the Insectary of Department of Entomology, Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur. On the basis of present investigation, it is concluded that the different treatments Spinosad 45 SC (0.015%), neem and bakain were most effective treatments against the major insect pests of tomato variety Type-6. Spinosad 45 SC (0.015%) was found most effective followed by neem and bakain gave 90.46%, 87.06% and 84.00% healthy tomato fruits, respectively and 9.53%, 12.10% and 16.

The consumption of fresh and minimally processed vegetables is considered healthy, outbreaks related to the contamination of these products are frequently reported. Present study aimed to evaluate the microbiological quality and the occurrence of A. hydrophila in external, internal and macerated part of salad vegetables (cucumber, radish, carrot, tomato, cabbage, long melon and spinach) from the fields of Punjab Agricultural University and local markets of Ludhiana.

The experiment was conducted at Hi-Tech Greenhouse of CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Haryana during 2008-09 to evaluate the different gerbera varieties under greenhouse condition. Ten gerbera varieties viz., Amulet, Dana Ellen, Doni, Goliath, Paco, Rosalin, Salvadore, Savannah, Sunway and Winter Queen were selected for evaluation. Healthy plants were planted on raised beds in two rows at spacing of 35 × 30 cm in March, 2008.

The study was conducted on three (n=3) adult healthy Karan Fries bulls (4-6 years) maintained at Artificial Breeding Research Centre (ABRC), Indian Council of Agricultural Research-National Dairy Research Institute (ICAR-NDRI), Karnal, Haryana. Six ejaculates from each bull were collected at weekly interval using artificial vagina (42-45 °C).

Conservation agriculture (CA) is based on principles of minimum soil disturbance through zero or minimum tillage operations, residue retention on soil surface and crop diversification which not only improves healthy functioning of soil but also enhances nutrient availability, its biological quality and aggregate formation. On the other hand, conventional tillage (CT) practices characterized by excessive tillage, residue removal and monoculture are often associated with the degradation of soil mainly in terms of depletion of Soil Organi arbon (SOC), sub-soil compaction and loss of biodiversity.

Bio-fertilizer is a substance used to increase the fertility of the soil. It contains microorganisms which helps the soil to gain its nutrient back and make the soil available for cultivation. Bio-fertilizer doesn’t make any kind of pollution, so it is not a threat to use them in the place of the chemical fertilizers which causes a lot of pollution to the environment. Current soil management strategies are mainly dependent on inorganic chemical-based fertilizers, which caused a serious threat to human health and environment.

An experiment was conducted at College of Agriculture, Nagpur to screen forty different groundnut genotypes against tikka disease of groundnut during kharif, 2016-17 in randomized block design with three replications. Biochemical constituents of phenol, total sugar and chlorophyll at 45-50DAS (flowering stage) and 90DAS (pod development stage) were estimated from leaves of healthy and diseased samples. Forty genotypes of groundnut were screened for tikka disease under field condition.

The present study was conducted at the Agrotechnology Park, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, College of Agriculture, Gwalior, Rajmata Vijyaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Gwalior (M.P.) during the year 2015-16 and 2016-17. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design (RBD). Seventy four uniform healthy acid lime trees, planted at 6 x 6 m distance were selected under the present study.

For example, 4500 years ago Sumerian found evidence of the use of sulfur as a pesticide for agriculture. Mainly these were natural compounds, but after the Second World War a wave was used in the use of chemical pesticides, which has arsenic, hydrogen cyanide and D.D.T. like chemicals promoted.
