Ebola virus disease (EVD) also known as Ebola hemorrhagic fever is a severe contagious disease affecting humans, non-human primates and some domestic species (e.g. pigs). While fruit bats are considered as a natural reservoir, the involvement of other species in the EBOV transmission cycle is unclear, especially for domesticated animals.

Dermatomyositis is a rare systemic inflammatory disease with characteristic skin features and muscular involvement. Few cases of hemorrhagic myositis with dermatomyositis have been reported worldwide. Here, we report a case of a 43-year-old man with dermatomyositis, which was treated with steroids and low-molecular-weight heparin.

Superficial siderosis (SS) of the central nervous system (CNS) is a rare disease caused by repeated hemorrhages in the subarachnoid space. We describe surgical treatment of an SS case in which a dural defect with verrucous vegetation in the spinal canal was detected by intraoperative ultrasonography (US).

Anti-glomerular basement membrane (anti-GBM) disease and antineutrophil cytoplasm antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis are the main causes of pulmonary-renal syndrome (PRS). The concurrence of both ANCA - myeloperoxidase (MPO) and proteinase 3 (PR3) - and anti-GBM antibodies has been described, although positivity for all three antibodies has rarely been reported. The natural history of triplepositive patients as well as the best therapeutic approach remains unknown.
