Hexadecanoic acid

The plant’s bio active constituents were characterized by GC-MS. Acrylamide caused a significant (p < 0.05) ameliorated these values. GC/MS analysis revealed the presence of pentadecanoic acid, n‐hexadecanoic acid, cis‐13- octadecenoic acid, cis-vaccenic acid, oleic acid and octadecanoic acid. Our findings suggest that, ELEBa is a potential chemopreventive agent against acrylamide-induced oxidative stress in wistar rats.

This study was focused on the synthesis of silver nanoparticles using Acalypha hispida leaf extract and the characterization of the particles using UV–Vis spectroscopy, XRD, FT-IR, and TEM. The results showed the formation of silver nanoparticles, crystalline in nature, with an average size of 20–50 nm. The leaf extract components were analyzed with GC–MS and exhibited a high content of Phytol (40.52%), n-Hexadecanoic acid (9.67%), 1,2,3-Benzenetriol (7.04%), a-D-Mannofuranoside methyl (6.22%), and D-Allose (4.45%).

Bài viết nghiên cứu về thành phần hóa học từ dịch chiết methanol của cây Bạch Đầu Ông cho thấy thành phần chính là n-hexadecanoic acid (42-88%), 1,2- benzenedicarboxylic acid, diisooctyl ester (23,00%), squalene (11,31%) và các hợp chất khác được xác định là caryophyllene oxide (2,31%),... Các thành phần sesquiterpene được phân lập đã khảo sát với nhiều hoạt tính đáng chú ý như kháng ung thư, kháng viêm, kháng sốt rét và cũng có tác dụng chữa khối u, trị tiểu đường và ung thư.

Surface alkanes and fatty acids from the thalli of the lichen Xanthoria parietina, its photobiont Trebouxiasp., and its mycobiont were analysed by GC-MS. The green algaTre-bouxiasp. synthesizedmainlyunsaturated fattyacids suchas (Z,Z,Z)-9,12,15-18 : 3 (Z,Z)-9,12-18 : 2 and (Z)-9-18 : 1, and light alkanes C8-C15 (upto83% of total n-alkanes). However, the mycobiont contained mainly saturated fatty acids such as hexadecanoic (16 : 0) and octadecanoic acid (18 : 0), and also very long-chain n-alkanes C22–C34 ....
