Femoral neck fracture (FNF) is a common intracapsular fracture in the elderly as a result of osteoporosis, which tends to increase with humans’ extended longevity. Regarding treatment for undisplaced FNF, internal fixation is mostly used, while primary total hip arthroplasty (THA) is used for older patients with displaced FNF because of the high rate of avascular necrosis and nonunion.

Open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) is the gold standard management of fractures of the distal humerus. Stable fixation to allow early mobilization is not always possible in cases with comminuted fracture patterns and bone loss, with a high failure rate. We propose augmentation of internal fixation in these unstable situations with a spanning plate across the elbow to protect the fixation construct temporarily until bone union.

The aim of our work is to study the dyeing properties of extracts from natural sources such as Papaver rhoeas by modifying the conditions of the dyeing process, choosing other substrates that could be pretreated by innovative and environmentally friendly processes. The results obtained show a fairly high fixation of the extracts on the natural and artificial fibers. The use of mordants allowed the dye to be better fixed on the dyed fibers and to give several shades to the fabric. The rate of essential oil contained in Papaver rhoeas was considered important by the Clevenger process.

Rockweeds are among the most important foundation species of temperate rocky littoral shores. In the Baltic Sea, the rockweed Fucus vesiculosus is distributed along a decreasing salinity gradient from the North Atlantic entrance to the low-salinity regions in the north-eastern margins, thus, demonstrating a remarkable tolerance to hyposalinity.

Currently, Posterior Short Segment Pedicle Screw Fixation is a popular procedure for treating unstable thoracolumbar/lumbar burst fracture. But progressive kyphosis and a high rate of hardware failure because of lack of the anterior column support remains a concern.

Internal fixation is recommended for treating Vancouver B1 periprosthetic femoral fractures. Although several fixation procedures have been developed with high fixation stability and union rates, long-term weightbearing constructs are still lacking.

Limb lengthening with external fixation is performed to treat patients with leg length discrepancy or short stature. Although the procedure has a high rate of success, one potential drawback from limb lengthening is the amount of time spent in the fixation device while regenerate bone consolidates.

Traditional one-above and one-below four-screw posterior short-segment instrumentation is used for unstable thoracolumbar burst fractures. However, this method has a high rate of implant failure and early loss of reduction.

Beneficial biofilms developed by nitrogen fixing bacteria and P - solubilising fungi in vitro conditions and also used as biofertilizers in non - leguminous crops and also observed that the bacteria colonized fungal mycelia to form biofilms. The biofilms showed high rates of biological nitrogen fixation and organic acid production which directly influences the synthesis of indole acetic acid like substances than microbes when used as monocultures. (Seneiviratne et al., 2003).

The amount of K fixed increased and percent of added K fixed of the soils decreased consistently with increasing rate of K application. Maximum percentage of K fixation was occurred at low rate of K application and minimum at higher dose of K application. The overall K fixation capacity of the soils was moderate. Recovery and fixation rate of K per unit of added K in the soils varied from 0.51 to 0.73 and 0.27 to 0.48, respectively. The unit fertilizer K requirement per unit increase in soil available K ranged from 1.36 to 1.94.

A number of studies explore whether pre-tax income changes in response to tax policy. Pre-tax income would change if households alter their real economic behavior (i.e., their actual behavior, such as working hours, rather than changes made only on paper) or if they pursue tax-avoidance strategies, such as sheltering income offshore. The literature on this issue suggests that households do pursue some tax avoidance strategies in light of changes in their tax rates, rather than alter their real economic behavior.
