PD-L1 was an important biomarker in lung adenocarcinoma. The study was to confirm the most important factor affecting the expression of PD-L1 remains undetermined. The clinical records of 1045 lung adenocarcinoma patients were retrospectively reviewed. The HighResolution Computed Tomography (HRCT) scanning images of all the participants were analyzed, and based on the CT characteristics, the adenocarcinomas were categorized according to CT textures.

Ebook "High-resolution electron microscopy (Fourth edition)" retains previous material on the fundamentals of electron optics and aberration correction, linear imaging theory (including wave aberrations to fifth order) with partial coherence, and multiple-scattering theory. Also preserved are updated earlier sections on practical methods, with detailed step-by-step accounts of the procedures needed to obtain the highest quality images of atoms and molecules using a modern TEM or STEM electron microscope.

Ebook "Biomolecular imaging at high spatial and temporal resolution in vitro and in vivo" gives the first molecular description of a de-novo designed peptide-based material. In general, this research will have a huge impact on the peptide assembly field, and also in electron microscopy as it introduces new methods and approaches, all of which are Thom's inventions and are described in this thesis.

Tamoxifen is used in low dose concentrations (20–40 mg per day) as a therapy for breast cancer but is known to have ocular side effects. In this case report, the foveal cone integrity in a tamoxifen-treated patient who complained of a small central scotoma in the left eye while reading was examined using high-resolution adaptive optics imaging.

Preoperative imaging of vascular invasion is important for surgical resection of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). However, whether MRI and CT share the same evaluation criteria remains unclear. This study aimed to compare the diagnostic accuracy of high-resolution MRI (HR-MRI), conventional MRI (non-HR-MRI) and CT for PDAC vascular invasion.

After being packed into sterilized containers with a closed and rigorous process, pasteurized milk has ensured hygiene and safety factors. However, distortions can occur during storage and transportation, causing the container to open, allowing harmful microorganisms to enter and damage the product.

Low-cost, nanoscale zinc hexacyanoferrate (ZnHF), an effective adsorbent for cesium (Cs+) and strontium (Sr2+) removal, was prepared using the chemical co-precipitation method. The Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) spectra, and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) images were performed to determine the morphologies of ZnHF.

— In this article, a travelling wave antenna that covers the 2 to 4 GHz band for human movement recognition is proposed. It is composed of a waveguide structure with slots in order to generate radiating beams in different directions. This frequencyscanned antenna is used to determine the moving target based on the Micro-Doppler radar effect. Then frequency signature obtained from the scanned system provides the 2D radar image of the movement.

Spatial mapping of genomic data to tissue context in a high-throughput and high-resolution manner has been challenging due to technical limitations. Here, we describe PHLI-seq, a novel approach that enables high-throughput isolation and genome-wide sequence analysis of single cells or small numbers of cells to construct genomic maps within cancer tissue in relation to the images or phenotypes of the cells.

The proposed approach consists of two steps: (1) a new CyanoHAB spectral index called Broad Wavelength Algae Index (BWAI) is developed for fine-but-sparse (Landsat) and coarse-but-frequent (MODIS) satellite images, and (2) the Landsat and MODIS derived BWAI images are fused by the Robust Adaptive Spatial and Temporal Fusion Model (RASTFM) to generate fine-and-frequent Landsat-like BWAI images.
