  • The study showed that majority of the farmers (77%) have a favourable attitude towards ICTs followed by 14.25 per cent of the respondents have a highly favourable attitude and 8.75 per cent had least favourable attitudes. This means that there is a scope for higher usage of ICTs in disseminating the agriculture related information among the respondents. Similarly significant association had been found between attitude towards ICTs with age, educational qualification, organizational membership and extension contact.

  • An experiment was conducted with 23 F2 generation genotypes in randomized block design with three replication rabi season of 2017-18 at Research and Education farm, Department of Agriculture Botany, College of Agriculture, Dapoli. The estimates of phenotypic, genotypic and environmental variances revealed that, in general phenotypic variances for all the characters studied were higher than genotypic variances. Phenotypic coefficient of variation was greater than the genotypic coefficient of variation for all the characters for present study.

  • This paper identified their knowledge level of different ICTs in agriculture and allied sectors, their attitude towards different ICTs and their perceived effect of ICTs in agriculture and allied sectors. The study was conducted in the district of West Garo Hills, Meghalaya. A total of hundred samples were collected for the present study and was studied between March 2018 and May 2019. The main objective is to study the personal, socio-economic, psychological and situational characteristics of the farmer’s families who committed suicides. From selected district five talukas were selected based on considerable farmer suicide cases. Thirty three villages were selected randomly based on considerable farmer suicide cases. Forty victims was selected proportionate method of random sampling for the study.

  • Economics of paddy relay sunhemp system was studied in comparison with economics of paddy-fallow system. Farmers of the Nacharam (V), Khammam (D), Telangana state are generally keeping the land fallow after harvesting kharif paddy due to water scarcity resulting in no income during rabi. As an alternative to the paddy-fallow system, farmers of the Nacharam (V), Khammam (D), Telangana state were educated by the scientists of KVK, Wyra under “National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA)” project to grow sunhemp as a relay crop after kharif paddy i.e., paddy-sunhemp system.

  • Handloom sector is a leading sphere in the country after agriculture in providing direct and indirect employment to more than 43 lakh weavers and allied workers. The present study was taken up to find out the socio economic status of handloom weavers. Purposive random sampling method was used to select the 120durrie weavers from Warangal urban. Income, educational qualification, and profession were taken into consideration to compute socioeconomic status. Findings revealed that gender ratio in the occupation was3:1.
