Highly efficient method

Uniform and magnetic recyclable hollowsphere Zn doped Fe3O4 were successfully synthesized via simple one-pot solvothermal route. Morphology and structure of as-obtained products was characterized by XRD, SEM, HRTEM methods. The Zn-doped Fe3O4 hollowsphere exhibited high photocatalytic activity for degradation of hexavalent chromium under visible light irradiation.

The synthesis and Rhodamine B removal efficiency of monazite monoclinic BiPO4 by hydrothermal route using Bi(NO3)3·5H2O, K2HPO4·3H2Oand HNO3 as staring materials were presented in this work. The obtained samples were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, high-resolution transmission fieldemission scanning electron microscopy and diffuse reflectance UV-Vis spectrometry.

The result showed that two product spaces were highly similar. However, compared to IPM-QDA, IPM-RDA better improved the discriminability, increased the consensus among the assessors and reduced the variability of ideal profile. A novel plasmid vector pSELECT-1 is described which can be used for highly efficient site-directed in vitro mutagenesis. The mutagenesis method is based on the use of single-stranded DNA and two primers, one mutagenic primer and a second correction primer which corrects a defect in the ampicillin resistance gene on the vector and reverts the vector to ampicillin resistance. Using T4 DNA polymerase and T4 DNA ligase the two primers are physically linked on the template. The non-mutant DNA strand is selected against by growth in the presence of ampicillin.
