The steady-state growth of recombinant ClpC1 protein in Luria-Bertani (LB) broth High Salt medium was maintained and stabilized after extraction. The determined ATPase activity of ClpC1 was performed by measuring the released phosphate from the reaction. Ecumicin was chosen to be a control compound with expected ATP hydrolysis activities (Hill coefficient = 1,19 ± 0,217; Kd value = 0,52 ± 0,275).

Parameter estimation in biological models is a common yet challenging problem. In this work we explore the problem for gene regulatory networks modeled by differential equations with unknown parameters, such as decay rates, reaction rates, Michaelis-Menten constants, and Hill coefficients. We explore the question to what extent parameters can be efficiently estimated by appropriate experimental selection.

Cellular memory is a ubiquitous function of biological systems. By generating a sustained response to a transient inductive stimulus, often due to bistability, memory is central to the robust control of many important biological processes. However, our understanding of the origins of cellular memory remains incomplete.

Forty five linseed genotypes were subjected to study the interrelationship among the traits at the Experimental Farm of the Department of Crop Improvement, CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur, during rabi 2015-2016. The genotypic and phenotypic correlation coefficient obtained between different traits was similar in direction, while in magnitude, genotypic correlation was higher than the corresponding phenotypic correlations for most of the traits.

The experimental was carried out at Indian Institute of Rice Research Farm, ICRISAT, Patencheru, Hyderabad, Telangana, India, during Rabi, 2014-2015 in order to estimate genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance in two hundred genotypes of rice. Analysis of variance revealed highly significant differences among the genotypes for all the characters indicating sufficient variability existed in the present material selected for the study.

The present investigation was undertaken to estimate the genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance for growth and yield parameters among 30 genotypes of sweet potato [Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam.] in a randomized block design with two replications during rabi 2017-18 at College of Horticulture, Mudigere, Karnataka. Analysis of variance revealed highly significant difference among the genotypes was observed for all the growth and yield parameters.

Twenty pomegranates (Punica granatum L.) accessions were studied to determine inter-relationship of traits as well as to study genetic variation among yield attribution traits to understand the usefulness of genotypes in the breeding programme. It establishes that among all the parameters analyzed, a significant genetic difference was present for yield and yield attribution traits for exotic germplasm of pomegranate under study.

A field trial was conducted for evaluation of 38 hybrids of cabbage at the Experimental Farm, Department of Vegetable Science and Floriculture, CSK HPKV, Palampur, (H.P.) during Rabi 2015-16 to generate information on correlation and path analysis. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three replications.

Madhya Pradesh is pre-dominated by the Tribal population. The differences in the tribal community, spread over in various parts of the state, is clearly seen not only on the basis of their heredity, lifestyle and cultural traditions, but also from their social, economic structure, religious beliefs and their language and speech. Due to the different linguistic, cultural and geographical environment, and its peculiar complications, the diverse tribal world of Madhya Pradesh has been largely cut-off from the mainstream of development. The population of Tribals in Madhya Pradesh is 122.

Two hundred fifty soil samples from Tatrakallu village in scarce rainfall zone of Andhra Pradesh were drawn at 250 m grid interval leaving hills and water bodies and assessed for their fertility parameters. Analytical data was interpreted and statistical parameters like range, mean, standard deviation and coefficient of variation were calculated. Soil fertility maps were prepared for each parameter under GIS environment using Arc GIS v 10.3. Soils were neutral to strongly alkaline with non-saline in nature and soil organic carbon content was low to medium.

In the present investigation cause of association and direct and indirect effects were estimated between anaerobic germination traits, yield and its contributing traits in twenty five hybrids, along with their ten parents and three checks of rice (Oryza sativa L.). Single plant yield registered positive significant association with number of tillers per hill, number of productive tillers per hill, panicle length, spikelet fertility, number of grains per panicle and 1000-grain weight indicating that these characters were important for yield improvement.

Bell Pepper (Capsicum annuum L var. grossum) popularly known as sweet pepper, capsicum or Shimla Mirch is a high value vegetable and an important cash crop for temperate regions. The correlation between different quantitative characters provides an idea of association that could be effectively exploited to formulate selection strategies for improving yield components. For any effective selection programme, it would be desirable to consider the relative magnitude of association of various characters with yield.

Ultrasensitive responses are common in cellular information transfer because they allow cells to decode extracellular stimuli in an all-or-none manner. Biochemical responses are usually analyzed by fitting the Hill equation, and the estimated Hill coefficient is taken as a measure of sensi-tivity. However, this approach is not appropriate if the response under con-sideration significantly deviates from the best-fit Hill equation.

The effect of gadolinium ions on the sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) calcium release channel⁄ryanodine receptor (RyR1) was studied using heavy SR (HSR) vesicles and RyR1 isolated from rabbit fast twitch muscle. In the [ 3 H]ryanodine binding assay, 5lmGd 3+ increased the Kd of the [ 3 H]ry-anodine binding of the vesicles from 33.8 nmto 45.6 nmwhileBmax, refer-ring to the binding capacity, was not affected significantly. In the presence of 18 nm[ 3 H]ryanodine and 100lmfree Ca 2+ ,Gd 3+ inhibited the binding of the radiolabeled ryanodine with an apparentKd value of 14.

The mountainous area occupies three fourth of the total area of Binh Dinh Province. The potential of landuse is very large. However, under the influence of irrational exploitation and natural disasters in the past, the land resource has declined, thus leading to the decline of forest resource. Furthermore, the increase of unused land and bare hills along with the decrease in the cultivated area seriously influenced on the ecological environment as well as the socio-economic development.
