Agarose-paraffin double embedding assisted with 3D printing for high throughput rice root sectioning
Anatomical analysis of the plant tissues is an important technique used in plant research for studying the process of plant growth, development, adaptation to environmental stress as well as for characterizing gene localization. In Vietnam, most anatomical analysis for plant material was manually conducted which is time-consuming and labor-intensive.

Glycomer 631 and lactomer 9–1 are absorbable suture materials indicated for soft tissue approximation in non-infected wounds. Pigs are often used as surgical models in translational research; however, reports of tissue reactions to both suture materials in pigs are limited.

The ontogeny of seed coat and endosperm tissue in Zygophyllum fabago L. was studied to determine their developmental importance using different histochemical and microscopic techniques. Our results revealed that the ovule of Z. fabago was of the anatropous and bitegmic type. The inner epidermis cells were retained up to the end of seed development, whereas the other layers were removed in the early stages. Moreover, the outer integument was changed into the seed coat sculptures during the seed development. Concurrently, multiple cytoplasmic strings were formed at the seed coat cells.

The mechanism for hip pain has been unclear because of a lack of experimental animal models. We aimed to establish an intra-articular injection technique to the rat hip and to document the effect of intra-articular mono-iodoacetate (MIA) injection to the rat hip with radiography and histology.

Segmenting electron microscopy (EM) images of cellular and subcellular processes in the nervous system is a key step in many bioimaging pipelines involving classification and labeling of ultrastructures. However, fully automated techniques to segment images are often susceptible to noise and heterogeneity in EM images (e.g. different histological preparations, different organisms, different brain regions, etc.).

In recent years, hyperspectral microscopy techniques such as infrared or Raman microscopy have been applied successfully for diagnostic purposes. In many of the corresponding studies, it is common practice to measure one and the same sample under different types of microscopes.

Genomics and proteomics are nowadays the dominant techniques for novel biomarker discovery. However, histopathology images contain a wealth of information related to the tumor histology, morphology and tumor-host interactions that is not accessible through these techniques.

Percutaneous needle aspiration or biopsy (PCNA or PCNB) is an established diagnostic technique that has a high diagnostic yield. However, its role in the diagnosis of nodular ground-glass opacities (nGGOs) is controversial, and the necessity of preoperative histologic confirmation by PCNA or PCNB in nGGOs has not been well addressed.

Meningiomas are the most common primary intracranial tumors in adults. They are initially detected with neuroimaging techniques, but definite histological diagnosis requires tumor surgery to collect tumor tissue. Gross total resection is an optimal and final treatment for the majority of patients, followed by radiotherapy in malignant or refractory cases.
