Luận án đã tổng hợp được 10 dẫn chất acid hydroxamic dãy IXa-g và Xa-c có tác dụng ức chế HDAC2 mạnh và độc tính tốt trên các dòng tế bào ung thư thử nghiệm. Kết quả thu được, một lần nữa khẳng định rằng khung 3-hydroxyimino/methoxyimino-2- oxoindolin là một nhóm nhận diện bề mặt tốt cho các acid hydroxamic hướng ức chế HDAC. Cùng với đó, các nhóm thế khác nhau trên vòng benzen của khung 3- hydroxyimino/methoxyimino-2-oxoindolin và vị trí nhóm thế cũng có ảnh hưởng để hoạt tính ức chế enzym cũng như độc tính tế bào của các chất tổng hợp được.
