Our previous studies have identified CA916798 as a chemotherapy resistance-associated gene in lung cancer. However, the histopathological relevance and biological function of CA916798 in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) remains to be delineated. In this study, we further investigated and explored the clinical and biological significance of CA916798 in LUAD.

Response guided treatment in breast cancer is highly desirable, but the effectiveness is only estab‑ lished based on residual cellularity from histopathological analysis after surgery. Tubule formation, a key component of grading score, is directly associated with cellularity, with significant implications on prognosis.

In this work, we investigated the larvicidal, ovicidal, and histopathological alterations induced by Lepidium sativum seed extracts in Culex pipiens. Hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and methanol solvents were used for the seed extraction. Only ethyl acetate seed extract was active against the third instar mosquito larvae of Cx. pipiens. The ethyl acetate extract had an LC50 of 27.03 µg/mL. Egg hatchability was between 95% (25 µg/mL) and 5% (200 µg/mL). The ethyl acetate treated larvae showed protruding epithelial cells, and degraded microvilli. The total phenolic content was 0.3 ± 0.

The clinical use of cisplatin, which is a first-line anticancer agent, is highly restricted due to its adverse effects on kidneys that lead to nephrotoxicity. Therefore, some potential reno-protective substances have been used in combination with cisplatin to cope with nephrotoxicity. Due to its high antitumor activity and oxygen-carrying capacity, we investigated the molecular effects of squalene against cisplatin-induced oxidative stress and kidney damage in mice. Single dose of cisplatin (7 mg/kg) was given to male Balb/c mice.

Elevations in serum creatinine, uric acid, sodium, and potassium were reported in aged rats. Treatment with Ta-65 or pomegranate effectively ameliorated all the deteriorations induced by normal aging in male fertility and renal function. Ta-65 and pomegranate possessed strong antiaging activity by alleviating aging-induced male infertility through reestablishing the hormonal balance and testis architecture. They also alleviated the kidney dysfunction.

Hepatoprotective efficacy of Picrorhiza kurroa in experimentally induced hepatotoxicity in cockerels
Hepatoprotective properties of ethanolic and aqueous extracts of Picrorhiza kurroa rhizomes were evaluated in cockerels given acetaminophen @ 500 mg/ body weight orally to induce hepatocellular damage. Ethanolic extract given @ 50 mg/kg body wt and acetaminophen helped in restoration of Hb, PCV, TEC, TLC and lymphocytes and heterophils as well as total protein, albumin and globulin, glucose, cholesterol, bilirubin and activity of AST, ALT, ALP and LDH.

7, 12-Dimethylbenz[a]anthracene (DMBA) is acting as immunosuppressor and it serves as a tumor initiator. Tumor promotion can be induced with treatments of 12-Otetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA) in some models of two-stage carcinogenesis. This allows for a greatly accelerated rate of tumor growth, making many cancer studies possible. The DMBA damages many internal organs including liver, by inducing the production of reactive oxygen species, DNA-adduct formation and affecting the activities of phase I, II, antioxidant and serum enzymes.

Endometrial histopathology was studied in 24 cows on day 2 postpartum in group I and II were treated with an intramuscular injection of 25 mg PGF2α and 50 IU oxytocin respectively. Whereas in group III cow selected at day 35-50 post-partum RFM affected cows treated with TANUVAS mineral mixture plus ovsynch protocol. Histopathology of the uterus in the RFM affected cows before treatment reveals complete loss of epithelial lining of endometrium, whereas after treatment Proliferations of epithelial lining of endometrium were evident.

The role of peptidases in carcinogenic processes and their potential usefulness as tumor markers in colorectal cancer (CRC) have been classically attributed to cell-surface enzymes. The objective of the present study was to analyze the activity and mRNA expression of three cytosolic peptidases in the CRC and to correlate the obtained results with classic histopathological parameters for tumor prognosis and survival.

Present study was carried out to evaluate toxic effect of cadmium chloride at 15, 50 and 100 ppm in drinking water for 28 days on liver, kidney, heart and intestine in male rats. Twenty-four male albino rats (270 to 340 g, 4 weeks of age) were randomly divided in to 4 groups having 6 animals in each group. The animals of control group received distilled water throughout the experimental period, while rats of other three groups received either 15, 50 or100 ppm of CdCl2 in drinking water for consecutive 28 days.

To study the impact of radish oil on the possible genotoxic and hepatotoxic effects of hexavalent chromium, male rats were divided into 4 groups. Group 1 served as control, group 2 received radish oil at the recommended human therapeutic dose (0.07 mL/kg) by gavage, group 3 received sodium dichromate dihydrate (SDD) 520 mg/L in drinking water, and group 4 received both SDD and radish oil as previously mentioned in groups 2 and 3. All treatments were continued for six months.

Role of different mediators was described in the development of the granulomatous response and fibrosis observed in intestinal schistosomiasis. However, both Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) and nuclear factor kappa B (NF-jB) have not yet been investigated in intestinal schistosomiasis. This study aimed to characterize the role of TLR2 and NF-jB in the pathogenesis of intestinal schistosomiasis. Experimental animals were divided into two groups; group I: non-infected control group and group II: mice infected subcutaneously with S. mansoni cercariae.

Lupus nephritis (LN) carries high morbidity and mortality and whenever added to neuropsychiatric manifestations lead to more unfavorable prognosis. Though silent brain MRI findings in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) had been widely studied, the current work focused on LN patients comparing them to those without kidney affection, studying their cerebral MRI and its correlation with the histopathological classes of LN and disease activity. This may enable us to know more about early brain affection in LN patients for better follow up, management, and prognosis of this serious comorbidity.

Epilepsy is one of the most well-known neurological conditions worldwide. One-third of adult epileptic patients do not respond to antiepileptic drugs or surgical treatment and therefore suffer from the resistant type of epilepsy. Stem cells have been given substantial consideration in the field of epilepsy therapeutics.

Subject and method: 90-day repeated dose oral toxicity were evaluated on rats follow the OECD 408 Guideline; androgenic activity were evaluated on castrateperipubertal male rats follow the OECD 441 Guideline. Results: The Truong Xuan CB capsule at doses 0.42 g/kg/day and 1.26 g/kg/day for 90 days continuously has no effect on the general condition of the rats, the body weight increase, hematological and biochemical indicators; histopathology of spleen, kidney and liver were normal.

The in vitro total antioxidant and anti-inflammatory capacity of the methanol extract of Ixora duffii leaf (―Trang to‖ in Vietnamese) was investigated using the phosphomolypdenum method and the bovine serum albumin denaturation test, respectively. The results showed that the methanol extract of I. duffii leaf possessed relatively high antioxidant activity (OD0,5 = 15.551 ± 0.344 μg/mL) compared to that of the standard, trolox (OD0,5=2.315 ± 0.083 μg/mL). The antiinflammatory effect using bovine serum albumin denaturation test showed that the activity of the methanol extract of I.
