  • Accessory breast carcinomas of the axilla of males are rare, and primary breast neuroendocrine tumors (BNETs) are rare as well. We present a case of a BNET arising in the axilla of a man. A 64-year-old Japanese man presented with a hard 15-mm mass in the axilla and axillary lymph node swelling. Histopathological examination of the incisional biopsy specimen revealed a neuroendocrine car‑ cinoma. Therefore, wide radical excision of the axillary tumor and axillary lymph node dissection were performed.

Therefore, some potential reno-protective substances have been used in combination with cisplatin to cope with nephrotoxicity. Due to its high antitumor activity and oxygen-carrying capacity, we investigated the molecular effects of squalene against cisplatin-induced oxidative stress and kidney damage in mice.   • Elevations in serum creatinine, uric acid, sodium, and potassium were reported in aged rats. Treatment with Ta-65 or pomegranate effectively ameliorated all the deteriorations induced by normal aging in male fertility and renal function. Ta-65 and pomegranate possessed strong antiaging activity by alleviating aging-induced male infertility through reestablishing the hormonal balance and testis architecture. They also alleviated the kidney dysfunction.

  • Ten birds from local poultry farm were brought to Division of Veterinary Pathology, SKUAST-J for necropsy examination. Postmortem examination revealed a white chalky material deposit on pericardial sac, liver, spleen and kidneys. Moreover enlargement of kidneys with necrotic foci was also evident, along with swelling of ureter in some birds. Tissue samples were collected in absolute alcohol from affected organs for histopathological examination and it was diagnosed as visceral gout from gross findings and presence of bluish coloured crystal on histopathological examination.

  • Three white female rats age approximately one year were presented with history of gradually increased swelling on thoracic region on left side and right side while other rat had mass on right side of neck. On the basis of history, clinical and ultrasonographic examinations diagnosed as a tumour and treated surgically under general anaesthesia. The histopathological examinations revealed fibroedinoma of mammary gland in two rats and a fibroma. All rats were recovered well without any complications.

  • A six year old cow with growth on the left horn, with foul smell and bleeding was presented to clinics. On clinical examination the horn growth is characterised by granulation tissue at the base of the horn with offensive odour and was spongy, greyish white cauliflower like having rough and verrucous surface and was diagnosed as horn cancer. The horn tumor was removed surgically from the base and the animal was recovered uneventfully. The histopathology of the tumour revealed the squamous cell carcinoma.

Present studies suggested that HA and HI tests are more superior, inexpensive, sensitive and rapid for identification of Infectious Bronchitis Virus (IBV) as compared to AGPT. The necropsy and histopathological examination indicated the involvement of nephropathogenic avian IBV.
