According to the abovementioned rationales, it is important to carry out study on microbiological air quality analysis based on fungal count in working rooms of “X” hospital. This study is very important because air is one of transmission media for microbes responsible for human infection.

This study aimed to determine bacteriological quality of indoor air in neonatal wards at tertiary hospitals and assess antibiotic resistance patterns of isolated bacteria. Passive air sampling was performed to appraise bacteriological indoor air quality employing the gravity settle plate method to monitor air quality in the morning and afternoon. Each procedure was performed in duplicate on Nutrient Agar plates for 30 and 60 minutes. A total of 75 bacteria were isolated and subjected to antibiotic sensitivity tests using the Kirby-Bauer’s disk diffusion method.

Bacterial contamination of operation theatres is a major risk factor for increased incidence of surgical site and nosocomial infections in hospitals. Now a day the evaluation of the level of microbial air contamination in places at risk is considered to be a basic step towards prevention. The main aim of the study was to estimate microbial air contamination of operation theatres in our hospital by settle plate method (Passive sampling). Objective of the study was to monitor quality of air in the form of bacterial load in operation theatres.

The arrows that point from the box labeled “Information distilled, interpreted, excerpted” indicate where this processing occurs. So for instance, scientists and committees process information before handing it on to policy advisors, and policy advisors do the same before handing information on to policy makers. And at the end of the chain, complex scientific information often gets boiled down to just a few pages and messages that reach the desks of the policy makers themselves.
