Anaplastic pancreatic cancer (APC) cell lines have been scarcely established. Methods: The morphology, gene expressions, karyotyping and epithelial-mesenchymal transition markers of newly established APC cell lines OCUP-A1 and OCUP-A2 were analyzed. Karyotype is the most important diagnostic and prognostic parameter in myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and is abnormal in approximately 50% of patients. We emphasized the importance of chromosomal analysis and reported the most frequent cytogenetic abnormalities in 50 MDS (29 males (58%) and 21 females (42%), median age: 57.5 years) Egyptian patients using conventional banding analysis (CBA). Karyotype description was conducted according to the International System for Human Cytogenetic Nomenclature (ISCN, 2013).

In this study, three hASC samples from three Vietnamese people were collected and proliferated in MSCCult medium (Regemedlab, Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam) to the 5th cell passage. Next, hASCs were evaluated for change of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) characteristics including shape, immunophenotype (CD14, CD34, CD44, CD73, CD90, and/or CD166), and trilineage differentiation ability. Finally, the number of chromosomes after passages 1, 3, and 5 was evaluated by karyotyping technique.

This paper has explored the impact of appointing executive directors as non- executive directors on the appointing firm‟s performance. We find that relatively few executive directors are appointed as non-executive directors in UK quoted firms, which is consistent with the Higgs Report (2003). This is despite the long-standing conjecture that such appointments may positively affect firm performance. Consistent with this view, our results suggest a positive link between the presence of an IED and the appointing firm‟s performance.
