  • The study was conducted in Kheda and Panchmahal districts of middle Gujarat during 2015-16 to assess the comparative adoption level of improved animal husbandry practices by dairy farmers of Kheda and Panchmahal districts of Gujarat. Four talukas from each district, five villages from each taluka and five respondents/dairy farmers from each village were randomly selected, thus covering 40 villages and a total of 200 respondents.

  • Molai aadu is a lesser known goat breed rearing for meat purpose in Tamil Nadu and not yet registered as distinct breed. So far no sincere efforts have been made for registration of this population of important genotype. Hence, the present study was carried out to document Molai Aadu goat by using the proforma developed by the NBAGR, Karnal. Molai aadu goat is very popular among the breeders and has spread to Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Erode and Tirupur districts. The goat is prevalently spread to Chithode, Kavundapadi, Sirivaloor, Nambiyoor, Kanjikovil and Nallampatty areas of Erode district.

  • Adoption, Paddy is important cereal crop of Andhra Pradesh state, particularly East and West Godavari is considered as Rice bowl of Andhra Pradesh. It is cultivated under wide range of soils and climatic conditions. It is grown in black soils as well as heavy clay loam soils. In East Godavari district total rice production area is 4.23/ha. The major varieties grown in Ramchandrapuram mandal are MTU-1010, PLU-1100. More than 70% of the Indian farming community own less than one hectare of land. They belong to the category of small and marginal farmers.
