  • In conclusion, the geotechnical properties of the unhydrated sand-mixed GBFS become more advantageous than those of natural sand. In addition, by mixing with natural sand, the hydration reaction rate and the solidification of GBFS are controlled. This means that it is possible to keep the compressive strength and the permeability at the predetermined conditions and, in turn, to satisfy requirements for the SCP method with LSRAR.

  • Estimating water saturation is one of the main challenging aspects in reservoir characterisation. Good estimation of this parameter enables us to calculate reserve accurately. Hence, it is of great importance to estimate precisely water saturation based on hydraulic flow units of reservoir rocks. In this paper, a modified J-function was used and developed to determine the water saturation in the hydrocarbon reservoirs located in field A, Cuu Long basin.

  • ntroduction of new agricultural technology created growing realization of soil physical properties limiting crop production. However, soil physical changes and their impact on crop production are less easily realized because of their exceedingly complex and dynamic nature. Since the nature and arrangement of aggregates in soils could be expected to have a profound influence on pore space, which in turn would govern air and water relations, wide use has been made of aggregate analyses to evaluate spot physical conditions.
