The geometries and relative stabilities of 15 tautomeric forms and the corresponding isomers of the studied molecules have been identified and their relative stabilities are investigated. The potential energy profiles and intrinsic reaction coordinates (IRC) calculations along the proton transfer coordinates both in the ground and in the excited state are monitored as well. The impact of the donating (OMe) and withdrawing (NO2) groups on the single and double proton transfers are investigated both in the gas phase and solution.

A new semi-empirical technic has been established relying on the linkage between the chemistry in the bulk liquid and that taking place in the acoustic cavitation bubble. The open-source COPASI software has been used for the optimization of number density according to the total yield of a single bubble and the fitting of the experimental yield of hydrogen peroxide in the sonicated solution. It was observed that the number density is increased with the rise of ultrasound frequency from 200 to 1140 kHz, independently of the saturating gas nature (O2, Ar or air).

The results show that the O atom, as compared to the S, Se, and Te ones acting as proton acceptors, plays a peculiar role in the C-H blue shift of stretching frequencies involving hydrogen bonds. It is found that the magnitude of red- or blue-shift of the C-H stretching frequency in the hydrogen bond is mainly determined by the C-H polarity (DPE) and gas phase basicity (PA) of the proton acceptor in the isolated isomer, besides relevant weak interactions and the geometrical structure of the formed complex.

We analyzed 39 gas samples, including carbon dioxide, hydrocarbon gases C1–C4, hydrogen, and helium, in surface sediment from 19 gravity cores collected from the SW sub-basin of the East Vietnam Sea (EVS) using the headspace and vacuum degassing methods. Herein, a performance analysis of La-doped copper-based catalysts (CuO/ZrO2 /La-Al2 O3 ) in methanol steam reforming (MSR) was conducted and compared with a commercial low temperature water-gas shift catalyst (HiFUEL W220) to produce H2 with low CO selectivity. The physicochemical properties of as-obtained catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption, XRD, and ICP-OES. "Germanene as potential material for sensor of toxic gases CO2, SO2, and CH4: A DFT study" show that gases of CO2, SO2, and CH4 are physically adsorbed on germanene via a charge transfer mechanism. The physisorption of these gas molecules on germanene opens a band gap at the Dirac point of germanene. The different adsorption behaviors of gas molecules on germanene provide a feasible way to extend germanene for gas sensors.
