The central concern of this study is to develop an ICT-literacy task-based assessment instrument that may be used to evaluate trainee teachers’ level of ICT-literacy. The current literature acknowledges the need for a measurement instrument that evaluates ICT-literacy levels. This type of measurement instrument is used as an entry-level testing tool for university and job placements. However, existing ICT-literacy assessment instruments are either too expensive to be implemented or too rigid with their expected answers; moreover, they are not tailored to a teacher’s individual needs.

The study was conducted in North Eastern Karnataka and Raitha Samparka Kendra’s (RSKs) of Kalaburgi and Raichur districts were selected for the study. The result of the study revealed that cent per cent of the extension personnel were using television for the purpose of obtaining knowledge/current agricultural events followed by internet (96.25 %) and mobile phone (91.25 %).

The present study was carried out in two district of Bihar state i.e. Samastipur and Katihar, in four villages. In total 100 respondents viz., 50 farmers from each district, 50 farmers from each block and 25 farmers from each village were selected for present study. Availability of mobile among the farmers was high followed by television, FM/Radio, internet, Whatsapp. Others like Video conferencing, Facebook, You tube, e-book/e-magazine, kisan help line, Personal computer/laptop, e-mail, Web portals (Internet) and CD/DVD available/access by the farmers.

Interactive Information Dissemination System (IIDS)’ is an innovative ICT model to address the information needs of the Indian farmers. This ICT tool was designed and developed under a project awarded by Indian Council of Agricultural Research under National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP). Information and Communication Technology has become an effective tool for transforming agriculture from traditional resource based method of production to a new science based method and commercialized agriculture in digitalized global village. The findings indicated that 44.4 percent of extension personnel had ICT facilities in their department among which computer and printer facilities were possessed by half of the respondents while facility of internet and digital camera were possessed by 30.0 percent of respondents.

The study revealed that majority of livestock farmers had favourable attitude (73.33%) towards dissemination of information through different ICT tools in livestock sector followed by 15.83 per cent with more favourable attitude and 10.83 per cent with less favourable attitude. Age, family size, land holding, herd size, extension contact and social participation had positive and non-significant relationship with attitude of livestock farmers towards ICTs, while experience in livestock farming had negative and non-significant relationship.

The study was conducted in Azamgarh district of eastern Uttar Pradesh; it included two villages (HirnaiGullygarh and Khalishpur), one medical college and one block (Bilariyaganj Block). A total of 150 respondents including 60 farmers (30 male and 30 female) 70 students (35 male and 35 female) and 20 employees (10 male and 10 female) were selected for the study from two villages, two colleges and one block respectively.
