Decline in confidence in free market mechanisms in the past decade has provoked an increase in interest in regulatory issues. This paper seeks to answer one question: Are exchange listing rules an effective screening mechanism? Using a sample of IPO firms listing on major U.S. exchanges in 1984-2005, I find that (i) firms listing on different trading floors exhibit different characteristics; (ii) introduction of higher standards on one market tier does not prevent entry of low quality firms.

Do high levels of NPLs depress credit supply? And, what are the implications of NPL buildups on banks' lending behaviour? To answer these questions we estimate impulse responses using [1] local projections on an unbalanced sample of Italian banks observed from 2009 to 2016. Our results provide fresh evidence on the negative association between NPLs and banks' loans supply. More specifically, we find that an unexpected shock to the level of NPL ratio is negatively associated to credit supply for at least two years after.

Improving teaching and learning methodologies is not just a wish but rather strife for most educational institutions globally. To attain this, the Adelaide Tambo School of Nursing Science implemented a Technology-enhanced Problem-Based Learning methodology in the programme B Tech Occupational Nursing, in 2006. This is a two-year post-basic nursing program. The students are geographically dispersed and the curriculum design is the typically student-centred outcomes-based education.

As we sit at the microscope with users, waiting for data to collect, we frequently find ourselves answering the same questions, time after time. The users need to know what their data tells them about the sample, how it should be interpreted or processed, or a myriad of other details about the experiment. At other times, we find ourselves explaining why a particular experiment cannot be performed, or, at least, why it is more complex than appears at first glance. Sometimes students need help describing these issues to their advisors.

Despite the above research results, nutritionists are hesitant to use high inclusion levels in the diet. The lower energy (less starch) and higher fiber content is a concern and high dietary levels may limit intake of high performance meat poultry. Variability in product nutrient content and quality is often cited. Indeed, variability exists in nutrient content and performance response. In the report presented by Cromwell and coworkers (1993), 9 different samples of DDGS were analyzed and tested in chick diets. A large range of lysine contents were noted (.43 to .89%).
