Quantitative analysis of five (05) broad leaved and four (04) fruit tree species viz., Populus deltoides, Populus nigra, Robinia pseudoacacia, Salix alba, Salix fragilis, Malus domestica, Prunus domestica, Prunus dulcis and Pyrus communis respectively was carried out to present the possibility of pruned biomass from broad leaved and fruit cultivars for firewood production.

Carbon sequestration is basically the progression of transforming carbon in the air (carbon dioxide or CO2) stored in the soil carbon. Carbon dioxide is taken up with plants through the process of photosynthesis and built-in into living plant material. Agroforestry provides a sole opportunity to combine the double objectives of climate change adaptation and mitigation. It is an attractive alternative for sequestering carbon on agroforestry lands since it can sequester chief amounts of carbon still as leaving the bulk of the land in the production.

Growth, biomass, carbon storage and allometric relations for estimating stem volume and aboveground biomass on the basis of DBH and Height of tree and growth pattern curve, carbon storage and developed various allometric equations on selected Agroforestry trees. Total seven species including 210 trees were marked selected in the present study.

Trees are the most important component of Agroforestry, they provide, shelter, food, nutrient for soil and fodder for animals. Poplar trees have an important commercial value and can make an important contribution to the economy of the country. Tree volume equations were developed for prediction and estimation of merchantable volume. Data were collected with the aid of haga altimeter, meter tape and calliper. The measurement obtain were the diameter at breast height (D.B.H), diameter at base, diameter at top and merchantable height.

The AKT solfware and WaNuLCAS modelling combined nicely to evaluate both the current and future ecological effects and economic potential of the bamboo- based AF systems. Under hedgerow intercropping (BambooHed), bamboo prevents erosion and improves soil fertility. The bamboo products (mainly from Tre gai and Hop species) harvested from the hedges provide farmers with important income as well as material for household.
